I don't, the baseball season is over as far as I am concerned. It's been over for a long time.

Guaranteed that the Phillies win this poll, as most Mets fans are bitter and jealous crybabies.

I'd prefer that neither the Phils or Yanks were in it but since they both are this is an easy choice. I root for the Yankees as I don't hate the Yanks as much as most Mets fans, can't say the same about the Phillies.

I can't believe any Mets fan would want the Phillies to win. Have you been to that cesspool of a city? You really want those clowns to be happy?

Thank you. It's nice to know that not all Mets fans would rather root on a primary enemy over the other hometown team.

Especially Philly. Like Cappy said, that city is a cesspool. Boston and Philly are the two worst cities in the country in terms of douche viscosity.

Which even made that SuperBowl unwatchable for me... a 3rd rate city playing a 5th rate city

Boston fans have treated me as a Mets fans way better than Yankee fans do! Hometown team or not! Philly fans are jerks for the most part but Boston fans are pretty fair.

The thing is I am not a yankee fan and have no Idea how they treat Yankee fans. So it may be that they treat yankee fans badly.

All fans treat Yankees fans badly. Red Sox and Mets fans are by far the worst though.

I simply despise Philly because 1) it's filled with douchebags, and 2) it's an enemy city of two local teams (neither of which I root for, but neither of which do I dislike.)

FTR: With the exception of the one thread that I started, I am almost always nice to Mets fans.

With comments like these it's hard to imagine why the Mets fans would root against the Yankees.

Holding my nose and going with Yankees. Fortunately the games are all on in the middle of the night over here.

Also, I'm not rooting for either regardless; rather, I'd root against one team harder than the other.

I'm rooting for a meteor to hit the stadium.

At the end of the day i'd rather the NL team beat the AL team, regardless of who those two teams were.

Let's not count our chickens before they're hatched, the Yankees aren't in yet.

That said, I can't believe that Mets fans would rather see the Phillies win back to back titles than see the Yankees win. As someone who hates the Red Sox as much as I love some of the teams that I root for, rooting for a rival is just a foreign concept for me.

It's not rooting for a rival; it's rooting harder against one team than another.
