The new Mets stadium is going to look 10000000000 times better than that cookie cutter they are in now..

Yeah but I'll still miss Shea. I'll miss Yankee Stadium more but as big of a dump Shea I saw my first Jets reg season game there as a kid.

Yeah, that's going to be a real pain for Mets fans. At least the Yankee construction shouldn't affect parking for our games.

the mets should have put up a new parking structure during this offseason like the nets and devils did for their arena.

A little thing like parking means nothing when the team's winning.

I am a Mets fan. But tearing down Yankee Stadium is so STUPID. How can you tear down such a historic landmark. The house that Ruth built, Joe DiMaggio roamed the outfield, Casey Stengel managed, Mickey Mantle played on, Roger Maris hit Number 61. They should just have refurbished the whole stadium. Now Shea Stadium. So what. Tom Seaver, Tommie Agee, 1969 Mets - no big deal.

As a Yankee fan thats pretty much how i feel about it,but i guess they couldn't make the current stadium into the state of the art place they are making the new one into.

I think that's probably how most Yankee fans feel, but the structure that's there can only be refurbished so much. It's already been through a couple as it is.

And given that just a decade ago us Yankee fans were being threatend with George moving the team out of town altogether, we have to take what we can get.

as a mets fan, i always loved the chances i had to go to yankee stadium, such a historic place. The most famous stadium in the country. It'll be sad to see it go..

As for shea, i havent been there in a few years either, but i saw my 1st baseball game there, and grew up in that stadium, im sure gonna miss it.

How many times can they drill into 100 year old concrete and steel.

As for Shea, it's a shit hole dump, and the sooner its gone the better.
