I got some gripes with it but also came away impressed. How do you guys feel?

I felt that midway thru the third quarter we should have stopped the dive plays to Thomas Jones. It was obviously gaining nothing. Give the ball the to Leon and let him make something even if it is outta the Seminole formation. Gaining 2-3 yards is better than the inches Thomas Jones was getting.

Now even though we were getting nothing I'm glad we didn't totally stop running the ball. Kept the defense honest which I liked. We ran the ball enough and let Sanchez make throws to balance our attack.

The HB Direct Snap was ran just one to many times IMO.

The HB Toss Pass was something I didn't expect and loved the playcall. It sucks we got called for holding. Maybe we need to tweak that because the announcers were right in saying that is an impossible play for our center to make.

Oh and where was Keller today? Did Tennesee shut him down or just an off game for him? I saw him in the first quarter and that was it.

We are also running the WR screen too much.Teams are starting to catch on.

Yeah forgot about that, we ran a bubble screen on a 3rd and 17 play. Hated that conservative play call also. Reminded me of Mangini's tenure here. They usually work but not in that situation and we should cut back on those.

Jones, Washington- it didn't matter today. Our run game sucked. Jones had 14 carries/20 yards to Washington's 12/46.

Gotta agree, Seems like they started to handcuff Sanchez again. 3rd and long give him an opportunity to be a hero...

Dustin Keller being non-existent certainly didn't help matters. We need him every week with our less than stellar receiving corps. They didn't even dress MacRumors. August.

    No! No, no...

Give the defense a chance to be heroes! Give Sanchez a chance to be a rookie.

I'm totally fine with not asking Sanchez to do too much in the rain against a defense that's playing really well. Going with a bubble screen on 3rd and 17 may be frustrating to watch, but it's infinitely smarter than risking a turnover (which is a serious risk when you ask a rookie to go downfield in that situation, as steady as Sanchez has been.)

I would like to see a little more diversity in the run game however. Jones is capable of running outside, and if Schotty called some stretches or tosses for him it would probably help open the middle a little bit.

Sanchez is gonna be a rookie whether he throws it or not, if he throws a pick then you can give the D a chance to be heroes..

Play calling was so-so today but execution wasn't that great either

Going against NE and TEN we could've expected the playcalling to be conservative... they are two very good defenses.

With NO and the next couple of games I expect the game calling to become more aggressive.

If he throws a pick then the Titans have a chance to run it back for the score, or at least into Jets territory. A punt gives the defense a chance to get Sanchez the ball back with good field position.

The Jets are a defensive team, they have to put their defense in the best position to succeed.

I think the play calling on the first two drives was dynamic and exciting. after that it was less than useful. Of our 11 straight failed 3rd down conversions, how many were 3rd and 8 or longer? hell how many were 3rd and 10+? quite a few if memory serves...

I kept screaming for them to throw on 1st down (throw to set up the run). How many times did we run up the middle?? Kick it out more often. Way to many "wild cat" type of plays. I thought it was a poorly called game overall, but Sanchise didn't help matters with the sloppy play mid way through. But that's to be expected for a rook.

Sanchez's shaky ball security is having an effect on the play calling I think. They're going to need to work on that a bit. This is two games running where the ball has come loose in the backfield. That's a bad trend.

It was good for the most part but when it came to shutting the door i questioned a couple of plays. Its all good considering we got the W.

There were some plays called that obviously had little chance of obtaining the yards we needed to keep the drive alive. They smelled of Mangina.

playcalling is really conservative in the first half and opens up in the second half. this is b schotts mantra. but i think next week this will not fly. I think we have to take the temperature so to speak and if the saints look like they are going to put up points we need to open it up right away
