    Daniel Cabrera vs. Phil Hughes
...Hughes has had 2 very good starts in a row now, and appears to have regained his confidence. Cabrera can be lights-out, but he also throws a lot of pitches and the Yankees CAN hit him. I have the Yankees winning this one...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Jon Leicester vs. Mike Mussina
...Mussina pitched well last time around; can he keep it up? I know nothing about the Orioles pitched, which could be bad for the Yankees. They have historically had trouble against young guys who they don't have scouting on. This game is a toss-up for now in my book...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Brian Burres vs. Andy Pettitte
...Pettitte is lights out usually when it comes to this time of year. His last start was hopefully just a fluke, and he should return to his dominant form after a little rest. Burres pitched very well last time out, and has pitched well against the Yankees. Game should be a pitchers dual, and its a game the yankees SHOULD win; but will they? I'll let the optimist in my pick the Yankees here...

Yankees should win 2/3, and a sweep sure would be nice. However, the Orioles (even though they're one of the worst teams in the league) give us fits, so don't be shocked if we only win one. Hopefully not, because I like starting these threads

I really hope Torre's decision to go with a 6 man rotation doesn't blow up in his face. A lot of pitchers don't fare well on extra rest. Or did he take Kennedy out of it? I know there was talk of both. No, he's still there. Pitching this weekend. I'm not sure what kind of rotation this is. There are 6 getting starts but in no particular order.

good for torre, a move i agree with.. i like the idea of a 6 man rotation if mussina has to pitch.. Ideally i would love to see a 5 man rotation with mussina on the red sox, but whatever..

Hughes usually struggles in the first for some reason, he'll probably settle down and look great for the next 4 innings

    A THRILLA FROM GODZILLA!

Yankees now up 3-2, with Minky's 2 RBI single earlier, and Matsui's solo shot right there

10 in a row for Hughes before that Millar single.

12 out of the last 13 retired by Hughes.

Indians win! So it will be 3 and a half ahead of Detroit!

Also Boston loses so we are now only 3 and a half back :eek:hmy: (Could you imagine if they had lost Saturday?)
