Pitchers:11 Sabathia Kuroda Pettitte Hughes Soriano Robertson Lowe Chamberlain Logan Eppley Phelps I chose Phelps over Rapada/Nova/Garcis because he's the better pitcher and can pitch both long and short relief.
i put him on because the yanks have been relying on the long ball all year, and am hoping he can pinch run, and steal a huge base or two late in a game, the yankees really have to manufacture runs, and hit with men on base, or it could be rough sailing.
I understand but he has only had 3 major league at bats in over 7 months and I'm not sure they just want to carry a pinch runner.
oh i hear you, I just had to put him on cuz i like the way he hustles when he's healthy, i'm the biggest yankee homer on the planet. i had season tix from '75 in shea while they were redoing the old stadium, through '87, or was it '88? and then i moved out here. some incredible years, and some rough ones after '81 was over when they lost in the series to the dodgers. I went to every home playoff and world series game of '76, '77, and '78. in '81 i was away at school, and that's why they lost-lol i like to think that at least.

I'd put in Gardner, especially because Ibanez can't be counted on for defense, so a backup OF that can play defense is important. And the speed factor as well. I saw the 30 for 30 "Broke", and seeing Homer Bush on there reminded me how important he was in '98 when he would just come in and steal a base when everyone knew he was going.
