Crazy man! These refs are getting out of hand. Calvin Johnson Fumbles on the one yard line. Seattle players bats ball intentionally out of end zone. Should have been half distance to the goal and ball goes back to Detroit. Game over due to botched call.
Whoa...Did they mention it after the game on ESPN, or anywhere else? I don't believe Gruden or Tirico had a clue or said anything at he time, but I wasn't paying close attention after the fumble...in disgust
Utter embarrassment for the NFL. Absolute joke, I can't believe this type of shit is allowed to get away in a game that in the final 2 minutes of a game. Really is pathetic.
It's all over every channel right now. Been on for the last twenty minutes. HUGE error. And caused Detroit to lose the game
Head of all NFL refs comes on the post game show and says the call was missed no if and's or but's. Missed call and should have been Detroit's ball.
Just a bad moment...This Baldino VP of Rules needs to get canned....His answers are so pathetic How do you not have a War room of rules here managing these things?
The one thing I don't understand is, if they catch the error, and the game JUST finished, WHY can't they just go back on the field with how much time would have been left and re-play it? Honestly...WHY? Because there were plays done after it? WGAF?! Horrible. Seattle gets another gift wrapped victory. Fuck them.
Haha, that would've been a brutal turn of events for you if the refs knew what they were fuckin doing, lol I missed a giant payday, thousands and thousands, like 50 of them at least, about ten years ago on the final day in one those pools. Never went back into one after that
The winner pool is fucking stupid. I got knocked out WEEK TWO. So my daughter said, "oh you gotta buy back in" so I did. And got knocked out WEEK FOUR! I'm done with them. Only consolation she too got knocked out week 2 and after buying back in week 4 _
Something felt so weird about him pushing it out...but nothing happened so I figured it was cool. It was instinctual; he probably felt that if he tried to secure it he may lose it and allow Detroit to recover in the end zone. He just wanted it out of there lol
I swear the Lions are a snake bit team. You hit your #1 player in the closing minutes, he fumbles on the 1/2 foot line. Talk about a punch to the gut, then it turns out that it should have still been Detroits ball but the Refs blew it? Man I'd rather be a fan of any team anywhere in the world rather than be a Lions fan...damn.
If this means anything: The refs also get ratings per their performances, and get warnings for missed or blown calls. That is, in EPL and all other soccer competitions around the world. I have to wonder why NFL can't bring that stuff in.
Exactly. With everything so "by the inch" in today's NFL you would think they would have tons of people watching each game ready to go if the refs slip up.
Ray Lewis actually made a good point which is one of the rarest things on this planet. If the players are fine for making a mistake on hitting too high why aren't refs fined for blowing a game?
the referees suck ass but that rule is really stupid anyway. consider how fuckin stupid this is: Two of the greatest athletes in the league meet at the 1 yard line with seconds remaining... in an act of pure brute strength the safety pops the ball out of the receivers hands to preserve victory for his team and likely keep them in the hunt! how exciting! this is what football is all about! oh wait- no, the game isn't over because on the football's way out of the end zone a guy happened to pussy tap it to help it go out the back of the end zone even though it was likely going there anyway. That's rule # 795789579875 Sec 8484098. just another case of the NFL having too many rules and as such the referees are blowing it.
