after watching a lot of his tape. I want this kid on our team. where do you think he lands? late third/early 4 would be my guess. very underrated speed, ran a very fast 40 time. a lot of people compare him to Welker, but I don't see it. Swope is a lot faster, he's bigger and stronger.I'd compare him to someone like Michael Crabtree. could be a great weapon for us in the middle rounds.
Swope is bigger than Welker, faster than Welker, but does not have the quicknees or agility of Welker. With that said I would spend our 3rd round pick on him in a heart beat. Not only because he would be a good receiver and a 3rd round steal, but just imagine if we could draft Johnny next year. Nothing would be better for helping him adjust than a receiver he is use to, who already has a year in the NFL under his belt.
I like the receivers in this draft a lot. Swope is one of many guys I wouldn't mind grabbing in round 3 or 4.
