There you go G-Men fans. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_...nts-to-fire-defensive-coordinator?eref=fromSI Good call by the Giants. I think they need to take a serious look at Gilbride as well.
I think their best shot at recreating the defenses they had under Spagnuolo is to hire someone who worked under Jim Johnson.
I wonder if Coughlin is going to follow him out the door. The Giants collapse was downright Met-like in its suddenness--I've never seen the bottom fall out from under a good football team so quickly and completely.
Firing HAD to be done. I literally thought they would have the best D in the NFL before the season started. Atleast I got the stadium right.
didn't the Giants start out 6-0 too? I would say Coughlin has next year to "clean up the mess"....but that's as far as it will go, imo.
See ya, Bill Sheri-don't-let-the-door-hit-you-on-the-way-out!! Easily the worst use of defensive personnel I have ever seen on a Giants' team. They were dead last in redzone defense; dead last!! Blargh!!
It's not Sheridan's fault that Osi's mind is too occupied with how many more hookers will let him take a dump on their chest thanks to his SB ring.
I stand firm in my belief that Sheridan is responsible for every bad thing ever. If the defense sucks next year, I am still going to blame hum. See that typo? Sheridan's fault. Hate this weather? Sheridan's fault. I now blame him for everything.
So does that mean I can swipe your wallet and key your car with the freedom of knowing full-well that you'll kick Sheridan in the nuts for it?
I was wary when they promoted him instead of someone who had come in with Spags and who had learned under Jim Johnson for a long time, instead of someone who had only coached in that system for two years, as Sheridan had. That said, I wasn't neccesarily looking for the guy's head. There were a flukey amount of injuries on the defensive side this year, starting with Phillips early and working through almost the entire secondary and through some really key linebackers and linemen. Oh well. By the way, according to the Daily News' Giants beat guy, he's officially been canned.
