i think it would be a great pick up if some how jets signed Mike Vanderjagt, even though Nugent had a great outing last week...we could have Mike squared kicking team....corny i know what do you guys think?
Nugent really had a good game last week, his best in 2 years. To bring another kicker in would just destroy any confidence, or momentum, he gained from that game. Let's see if he can keep it going before we decide to bring someone else in.
yea that's exactly what we need, a non clutch kicker with a vey big mouth who we would have to pay millions for.
It doesn't look like anyone wants to sign him. He's been available almost a week. Seems he may go the road of Doug Brien. While Mike V. was a much better regular season kicker, all it takes is one missed kick in the playoffs to destroy your career.
Dallas cut him for someone who hasn't kicked in a couple of years (Gramatica) except for a couple of games here and there....... I have seen what he has done for Indy's chances in winning big games with a last second fieldgoal..... I'll pass and keep a younger Nugent.
There's only room for one Mike and that's Mike Nugent. The JETS don't need a liquored up kicker that is losing confidence in his game.
Maybe if Vander could kick it outta the endzone on kickoffs, but we dont need another kicker that has trouble gettin it past the 15
