And #NFL should absolutely look at Gillette clock operator and how Pats in effect got an extra TO before 2min warning..had big impact

Apparently the clock stopped at 2:01 before the play was officially over when we recovered the fumble...

    let it go.

on the upside, looks like Tom Brady is absolutely incapable of throwing downfield rofl

Also Laron Landry and Yeremiah Bell are two of the best FA pickups we had in a while. Great job today by those two.

Eh, I just find it amusing either way. I don't think it's as big a deal as Wischusen made it out to be, except they would have had no timeouts for their drive downfield. They still probably drive into FG range anyway, all they would have done is maybe spike the ball at some point.

This is definitely true, but I'm not convinced it ultimately made any difference - the Pats had a timeout all the way down until they used it to set up the FG. If they hadn't had it they just would have brought Gostkowski out to try the kick - they had enough time to do that.

In a vacuum, it's not a big deal. Cumulatively, we got fucked by all the bullshit in this game.

It should have been stopped at 1:59 when the ref waved his arms...

They have a awesome clock guy.

Quickest 5 seconds ever. And it definitely may have made a difference. Hard to tell at what point the ref starts waving his arms, but rarely is a play ruled dead that quickly.

Also thought the fumble would be difficult to overturn conclusively, though not surprised that got overturned. You never know with these replay reviews. Just saw the ball roll on the ground at the Steelers game and they called it a catch.

We already know the refs are in the Pats pockets. We had the worst officiating crew today. They are plain idiots, especially the lead ref. He doesn't even know the OT rules. That extra timeout was BS. I was wondering what that was about.

Boomer and Carton are talking about it right now.
Also, CBS didn't show a Replay of the holding call on Nick Bellore. When a team loses 30 yards on a call, has to start on their 10 yard line instead of their 40 yard line, I guess a replay is not necessary. It happens allot after kickoffs. The networks pick and choose showing penalties after kickoffs. I had to go back and run it frame by frame and there was no holding penalty. Again the flag was thrown 30 yards from where the phantom play took place. The Jets just scored and the momentum was killed on that call. We deserve a right to see it.

we had chances to win but that 1 second was huge, it is the difference btw having a TO and not having any on that last drive. It changes the way the Pats attack us but we went soft when we had a chance to end it and as usual in a big spot our D does not come through. It sucks after playing as well as they played for 58 mins.

Im not going to blame the refs, but fuck, they were bad. I dont mind bad officiating as long as its bad on both sides.

The Phantom Hold on Moore, when Cunningham was trying to TRIP Sanchez. They let both corners get away with a lot of holding and jaming BEYOND 5 yards.

Rex and crew need to understand the situation when the clock is rolling. This TEbow package (they are not using him in the right way either) is confusing the hell out of the personel groups and the call gets in late (bassically why the Jets lost to the Texans) and have blow time outs. Just very frustrating that this team cant seem to grasp the fundimetials; but the have not given up yet.

Doesn't an NFL official operate the clock? I find it hard to believe that they would allow a home team employee to run the clock. Sounds like more sour grapes to me.

Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory.

The clock is also kept on the field. The officials could overrule all stadium clock officials. Happens almost in every game.

It was pretty egregious that somehow a kick return AND FUMBLE took only 5 seconds. Idk if it would have made a difference since NE would've/could've merely spiked the ball to stop the clock instead of using their final timeout.
