Looks like the Jets fans will finally be rid of us Tebots/Tebowners/Teblowers, etc...

    It's been real.

I wonder where Tebow will end up next year... JAX, KC, Canadian Football League, Arena Football, starting point guard for the Charlotte Bobcats?

More interesting is I wonder if the pissed off Broncos fans will follow us to the next location. Hopefully me and my fellow Tebots aren't going to be posting on the Tivo forums arguing with Phaytal and Concerned Citizen about how Tebow can't operate a DVR box better than Peyton Manning.

Perhaps, McElroy will work out for the Jets. He has a backbone at least. I like how he called out the bad apples in the Jets locker room last year.

I never had a problem with you Tebow people, it was fun to argue but in the end we're all football fans.

I don't hate Tebow, I think hes a good player and is definitely a big change from all the other NFL players who think they are the shit. I hope he succeeds with a team that he can actually play with.

Yeah I don't mislike Tebow rather, he just doesn't fit in our offensive scheme. That's why Greg will lead the team on Sunday, we don't have to switch the offense too much.

Not to be a wiseass or anything, but the Jets really did a number on the poor guys brand, didn't they?

Seriously, what team would want him at this point? There is no real indication he can play at an acceptable level based on his performance this year, and why in the world would you sign up for the distraction? The jets have made the poor bastard radioactive.

Well, we've gone back and forth on this and you've ridiculed me quite a bit. But if there was ever a time for you to admit that I was exactly right, this is your chance.

By Tebow allowing the the Jets to have him look like a punt protector and wildcat gimmick, he has done more damage to his marketability as a QB than he could have done if he started and lost 16 games this season.

He came to the Jets as a discarded QB. A division winning, playoff game winning, bad team fixing QB. Not going to argue about whether he deserves all the credit. Just saying what he had on his resume. Now, because of what transpired here in NY, his brand is completely ruined. He is now a punt protector and wildcat gimmick who is trying to be seen as a QB. Before people debated whether he was a good QB. Now people debate whether he can run the wildcat effectively as a gimmick.

Well its true. The guy is absolutely toxic to have on your team at this point, an instant QB controversy with really nothing solid anymore to go on that he's at all adequate to play the position.

That said, I don't think using him as a gadget player and punt protector was a bad idea per se, whatever it meant for his brand. The man is a dynamic athlete, he has skills you can exploit. The Jets have just done such a typically piss-poor job of implementing whatever they were trying to do with him. I just can't see why anyone would want him on their team at this point.

Yeah, I'll say that he is toxic not because of the man himself but what comes with him. You have to either go all-in on Tebow or not at all. At this time, their probably wouldn't be one NFL team willing to do that. Maybe JAX... maybe by a very very very long shot and as a way to sell tickets more than a belief in his abilities.

I seriously think he will have to pull a Kurt Warner/Doug Flutie to start as an NFL QB again. Arena football or CFL dominance, then return to the NFL later.

I coined the radioactive term thank you very much.

he has not done much overall but there was also little to indicate a bad level of performance.

As far as him looking bad, he was asked to fake 4 punts and converted 3. heck last night he was in for 6 plays and 3 resulted in first downs.

he completed 7 of 8 passes and the ONE TIME he was allowed to throw down field he hit hill in the face mask 40 yards away. There is just hardly anything to go by.

the radioactive part I agree with you, ESPN did more damage to him than Sparano ever could.

I don't agree with you on this one. There will be more teams to install spread option systems in order to utilize dual thread QBs that colleges are producing. He could be a natural part of those teams without major twist. E.g. he could be RG3's backup next season, because they can use similar playbooks.

Nothing other than a 9-7 record, a division title, and a play-off win playing with one of the worst defenses in the NFL, in his first 16 starts in the league. But yeah, other than that, you're totally right.....:rolleyes:

    *sigh*

Tebow will be a starting QB in the NFL long after Mark Sanchez is either a back-up or has hung up his cleats. Mark it down.

I do think Tebow got sold a bill of goods, and probably thought going to the biggest media market in the country would be good for his brand, but it bothers me to keep reading about 1 playoff win meaning everything - you do realize that Mark Sanchez took the Jets to the AFC title game in each of his first 2 seasons...look where that has gotten him... - kind of like the disclaimer on mutual funds, past results are no guarantee of future performance...

Anyway, hope Tebow lands somewhere that will give him playing time next season.

Yep, he had some good moments, but just remember, he did it playing with the #1 and #6 ranked defense in the league those 2 years. Tebow did it with the #32 and #24 ranked defense in 2010 and 2011.

Well Good Luck guys. As many of you were skeptical at first, our owner does meddle and love headlines and this might have been not a coaching staff decision. Tebow will get another chance and should get another chance. His best bet at success would be to backup RGIII or Colin at this point, thrive in that type of system, and get paid like Flynn did. But I think it's more a likely a worse team goes all in on him. Maybe it works, it would be great to see (Except against the Jets) but he, like Sanchez, is done in NY.

THe coaching staff clearly showed they either don't believe in him as a QB or they don't want him or both, either way, both means he is probably out the door.

It was fun, wish him the best luck, but as said earlier it looked like a media move, not a football move

Its been fun guys, shame I used to like rex and am a fan of Kerely, mcknight (they need to use him alot more) and cromartie.

It would have been nice to see Tebow succeed in green and white, I guess it was not meant to be.

I hope Mcelroy works out for you guys and you guys win alot next yr unless its against a tebow lead team, Then I hope tebow plays like last 5 min tebow all game and puts up 50 points on you guys lol.

You have been a great ambassador of the Jets fan base, a class act and a gentleman. We did not agree many times but you are a stand up guy .
