The problem I see with switching QB now is that the season is not unsalvagable. Decker will be back which should help offensively.

There is so much to address, the defensive problems, lack of run game and poor coaching. Putting in a new QB end up worse being than having Fitz in there because you don't know they do worse and there is a very real possibility they will based on what I've seen. I don't think they'd be able to help any if the other problems aren't corrected.

I'd wait until they lose two more, then test whoever they think is the next one, or all three of them. At that point it doesn't really matter, you mess up you lose the rest and get decent a draft pick (but I could easily see Cleveland going 0-16).

Season is over now doesn't matter

Only reason I care is I don't want to see Fitz's boring lollipop play anymore

Atleast with Geno we can laugh and cry and maybe even see a few big plays all in one game

Fitz just a boring slow trainwreck

Also I don't know how the offense as a whole can be any worse than they have under Fitz this season if you actually care about winning and salvaging the season....which isn't possible anyway but yeah

Once the Jets hit 6 losses, every game is a playoff game. Next loss = season over.

I can't say that I see much of a problem with switching the QB right now. We know what Fitzpatrick can't do, and that's take a team to the playoffs. The best chance he was ever going to get was last year when he had the chance handed to him on a silver platter. Not that it was entirely his fault, but a good portion of it was.

If he can't do it, and we all know that he can't, then why not give one of the other guys a shot. Worst case scenario, they play as poorly as Fitz has the past 2-3 games and we're right where we would have been anyway. Or, it could go the other way, and maybe it provides the team with a spark and we (hopefully) find out that we have something in one of the young guys.

This is an organizational decision. The GM, the owner and the coach will meet and decide if the season is over or not. Actually they let us know by what they do this week. If they are going to make a change they have an extra day to do it. If they stick with Fitz they are going for a high draft quarterback because he obviously cannot lead them anywhere.
