To me this is a lifetime achievement award. Matthews deserved it this year. But Polamalu def deserved it other years

wtf? this is like golden glove awards in mlb. they should just hand it out to everybody, because its a joke. matthews was such a bigger presence on the field than troy ever was (this season)
Agreed, didn't Jeter win one last year? he's a HOF no doubt, but at this stage in his career he's definitely not the best short stop in the AL defensively. They should actually give out the defensive award in sports to people who actually deserve them in that year. One can only wish for something as crazy as that.. Lol

On the one hand, I feel Matthews was robbed of the award. On the other hand I get to laugh at all the Packer fans who will say Matthews got screwed, but still defend Woodson getting it last year.
I don't know if any of you follow Tim Graham on Twitter, but he's getting deluged with idiot Miami fans demanding to know why Cameron Wake didn't win it and then getting upset with him when he tells them. Then he upset them more by saying that as well as Polamalu and Matthews, Julius Peppers was a better candidate than Wake.
