Who is this guy and what kinda name is that? I have spent the last 10 mins trying to figure out how to pronounce it. Anyways, was he picked up as a UFA and does anyone know anything about him other than that he is huge and went to Washington and played both sides of the line?

If you have a last name that long, for the sake of your nameplate you better be huge.

Yes, he's a Jets currently, and I hope he makes it. That would solve our problem at NT for years. He's another Ted Washington in terms of size. He was probably undrafted because he switched between lines which most likely hurt him.

    which means he's a project.

if he makes the official roster, i don't expect to see any significant playing time this year. but, based on size alone, he's exactly what we're looking for at NT if he pans out.

    cheers

Maybe hold him and give him a year in NFLE or PS- see how he develops.

He is big and strong, it seems like he is lacking technique which can be taught. Lets hope he develops into a good player and eventually the Nt in the 3-4.

why don't you want him being our NT? only because you like Pouha and Robertson more?

If Tui outperforms Pouha (which most likely won't be the case this year) then he should play over Pouha. the best player should play and that's that.

    cheers

This is the first I have heard of this pickup. I have no idea how big or how much weight he has. All I have been reading in this thread is he is huge. Is there a link about this kid anywhere.

Eddawg i agree if this guy performs better than pouha or D-Rob i think we should start him then. But i think D-Rob and Pouha better because i have seen them play before and i think they are pretty good.
