This used to be RobA's category, but he has had a dose of realism this year, which makes it harder. I think each candidate should come into this thread and give their most optimistic prediction on something Jets-related. Most optimistic gets my vote.

All four should come in and predict the winner of this award. Whoever thinks everyone will share the title gets the award for himself.

Yeah this year was strange for me. In 05 I didn't give up on the season till the jets 10th loss (mathematical elimination) at 2-10. And last season being a good year, it is easy to be optimistic. However this year really hit me hard after such high expectations and I never felt that "Oh don't worry we are still not mathematically out!!" thing. After our 4th or 5th loss I really started to think the season was done, and all optimistic posting took a huge hault.

And as far as your idea on who gets your vote, I have nothing to say. I personally feel I don't deserve the award this year.

How the hell did I make this list? I've been frustrated and despondent since October (hence my sparse postings). I guess if you think it is crazy to jettison the HC and GM, you are an optimist. For the record: the O-line sucks, the D-Line sucks, Vilma needs to be traded, our WRs are AT BEST below average, Sutton HAS to go, and we've got a massive issue with the departure of Westhoff. Plus, as Hiker will tell you, I think we are well on our way to a global warming crisis. I think I need to change my screen name to Mr. Smiley.

Thanks for helping me make my decision - a classic case of "protesting too much", Mr. Smiley. <- your new avatar

There's a fine line between optimism and madness, and RobA probably isn't on the right side.

Wow I'm actually really surprised, I didn't expect to win this year. I can't think of one time I was optimistic after say wk 5 or 6, when I had pretty much just given up all hope. Unlike 05 for example, where I was making playoff scenarios when the jets were like 2-8. Maybe it's just a lack of optimism this year, or old reputation, or a combination of the 2.
