Both of these guys were on Joe and Evan yesterday: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/category/sports/joe-evan/# and it really had me thinking how both are playing so well and haven't really been recognized, at least on a national stage (Klecko loves DeVito), for their outstanding play. Pouha doesn't surprise me as much because he did the same thing last year, but holy shit, DeVito helped the DLine look like a dominating force last week and without many blitzes from Pettine. There really is nothing more impressive than controlling the line of scrimmage in these big games. The interview with Hunter is pretty good and even though he doesn't speak with the emphatic nature of Bart, he does have a pretty sweet response to Evan at the 3:27 mark. He just sounds confident and ready to punch people in the mouth. I hope these two have their best games yet tomorrow and we dominate the line, so we can go get this thing done already. Hard Knocks 3-8. I am fired up for some football
Yea for all of the talk about Slauson early he's done a great job. I have to give Mr. T credit for that move.
These guys don't get press, and don't get the headlines, but they will be unsung heros for why we win sunday. Hunter will have to keep Woodley in check, and Devito will be key to stopping the run, and helping keep the pocket contained to keep Ben from escaping.
Hunter is a FA after the season, which will probably force the Jets' hand in regards to what they do with Woody. With his injuries this year plus his age they may end up cutting him and putting those savings into a new deal for Hunter.
Give that credit to Callahan, he coached Slauson at Nebraska and brought him here. Then he coached him up.
