I think most important is the condition has nothing to do with physical exertion.. So he should be fine for atleast 4 more weeks

good to know he'll be there... hopefully, since the surgery is after the season, he doesn't go under the knife until after 2/7/10 :)

although Feely didn't do too badly punting, it seemed noticeable in his late game kickoffs... they didn't have the leg he generally has.

Feely's punts seemed so awesome cuz we always punted around midfield so his kicks just happened to be landing nicely inside the 20's.

if he were to kick farther away though I dont think anyone would be too impressed.

Feely's a far better placekicker than he is a kickoff guy. thats been a fact.

    that's a good point.

in a game where the field position is important, having a punter who is actually a punter would obviously come in handy.

as for the rest, i was referring to his kickoffs to the 10... i realize he's better kicking FGs... but that is a noticeable drop off imo.

You can't play this game without heart!

Dam. Too bad we didn't keep Tupa instead of Brad Smith. We could of had backup QB, wildcat maker, a punter, AND and outside rushing LB to takeover for Gholston!!!!

He may have something called SVT. There is an extra nerve impulse in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat (extra fast). They cure it with something called an ablation, not considered very serious. My daughter had this, was treated and went home the same day. They basically destroy the extra impulse.

Its amazing he's played this long without having that diagnosed....I hope it doesn't affect him during the game though. Sometimes just having knowledge of an ailment makes it worse than it is...

Yeah, they just go in (the heart) with a cable from the vein and burn the extra nerve that isn't working.

Fabricio Oberto (basketball) had this procedure.

Good luck to Weatherford because it's always an operation but it's something easily curable so no biggie.

On a related note... gues we aren't running any fakes this week eh?

PS I would consider signing an extra punter... just in case.

Yeah so did I, Rex said in his press conference he ripped out his IVs and tried to get back on the field but they wouldn't let him.

You think the Dr's can sew a new leg onto him as well?

Wow you'd think recovery time for heart surgery would be a bit longer.

Glad he will be with us for the remainder of the season, at least.

Even better that Feely is the backup.
