Reading this complete tread is clear many here don’t really know two shits about Davis but they sure have strong opinions about a guy that played less than one fucking game for us

At this point, either CJ suits up and mans up or gets the fuck out of the Jets life with the least impact. He got a ton of money for one game and when we needed his leadership he chose to stay home. His choice.
The rhetoric BS “ it would be so Jets like to do xyz” will not cut it with this regime

I don't see how he's welcomed back into the locker room to be honest with guys like Maye and the whole bunch making peanuts last year.

probably with open arms. Players support each other's decisions when it comes to family/contracts

I doubt it's a universal thing. You have a bunch of guys coming off a 2 win season and have a fiery new coach that wants to instill a culture of passion and accountability and then you look over and see this cat with the huge mercenary contact that decided before last season began "that's alright guys, I'll sit this one out" after he misses almost his whole first season due to injury.

So he makes his business decision, which is legal and part of the game, but why would they welcome him with open arms? What has he meant to this team at all except for a promising first game and a guy that's always on the sideline clapping his hands while everybody else is sweating?

I have no problem with CJ staying home last year. I would like to thank him for it. last year we lost (some may say we won by losing) 4 or 5 games by a difference of 1 to 2 plays. If CJ had played we would likely have won 2-4 more games and we would not have the second pick in the draft. So thank you CJ for allowing us to draft Zach Wilson. Smart move on his part to take the year off and fully recover form his injury and not to mention he avoided playing a year under Gase. I wish we as fans could have opted out under Gase. Thank you CJ.

So if CJ had played, we'd be picking 10th-ish, we'd be assuming Sam is our QB, and we'd have 4,000 threads debating who we should draft: Pitts or Chase! ;)
