For me its close between mo wilkerson and coples, but ima say mo. ive only heard great things about him from OTAs/minicamp and it sounds like he is working extremely hard. he also seems like a nice guy that just wants to help the team
Stephen Hill. I keep thinking of him as mini Braylon, I can't wait to see him in action. After that its a toss up between Coples and Kerley. I see both coming up big for us this year.
Hill for sure. My second choice would be Sanchez since I really think we'll see an improved qb out there.
I can't wait to see Wayne Hunter,,,,,,,wait for it,,,,,,,wait for it,,,,,,,,wait for it . on another team
Wilkerson, Coples and Hill are all players I am really excited to watch and see what we have with them.
Kendrick Ellis...would love to see if he can be a dominate NT. Also Demario Davis, if he plays as fast as everyone says he does he could be a huge contributer to this defense. I forgot Chaz Schillins.
McKnight. They need a spark at RB or the ground and pound could turn into ground hamburger. Greene isn't an elite back, he's starting to remind me of a worse version of Cedric Benson.
From PFT: Jets think Muhammad Wilkerson on the verge of breakout season Posted by Darin Gantt on June 20, 2012, 1:33 PM EDT San Diego Chargers v New York Jets Getty Images Part of the reason the Jets are thinking about using more 4-3 defense this year is because of the ascension of defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson. And in typical Jets fashion, they’re not afraid of pumping him up a bit. Jets coaches said he could become every bit as dominant at his position as cornerback Darrelle Revis is at his. “Looking back on the spring, if I had to rank our guys – outside of Revis – he was the best player on the field,” defensive coordinator Mike Pettine told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “He was dominant at times … He doesn’t take a day off. He doesn’t take a play off.” He may not get much of a chance. Pettine told Mehta he expects Wilkerson to play “80-plus percent” of the Jets defensive snaps, a huge burden for a big man, considering he played fewer than 60 percent last year. “Mo’s only going to come off the field when he needs a break,” Pettine said. The Revis comparisons in Jets camp extend to their off-field preparation, as coach Rex Ryan hailed Wilkerson’s film study. “If Rex is telling you that, that just shows you all the confidence he has in me as a player,” Wilkerson said. It’s enough confidence to change an entire scheme, and adjust the expectations accordingly.
Hard to pick just one so I'm going to give one for each side of the ball. Defense - Coples Offense - Hill I also want to see how Sanchez and Holmes rebound next year but those are the people I'm most excited to just see how they perform.
Given what I think, and don't think, of both Sanchez and Tebow, Put me down for McElroy. You can see I am not afraid of a little derision. Not a lot, but a little is okay. Visionaries risk derision.
I saw Wilkerson as a positive player for us last year but I never felt like he was a "dominant" force. Did I miss something? I'm going to chalk this up as typical Jets coach rah rah BS for now.
Sanchez. I think it's do or die this year. We should know by seasons end if he is our franchise QB going forward.
Joe McKnight, Aaron Maybin, Stephen Hill and Sanchez. I think all of them are going to have big years.
