Since it looks like he'll be cut, it's time for the annual "fix Tebow" discussion. I consider George Whitfield to be the real deal, and he said in USA Today article this weekend that he absolutely believes he could do it. Cha-ching. http://www.thetowntalk.com/article/...ebow-Quarterback-gurus-see-way?nclick_check=1
Stop posting this radical extremist content. I hope that he does not work on his throwing motion per se, but his footwork and pre-snap passing reads. I think he's probably the best QB in the NFL at pre-snap running reads, but he needs to work a little on the passing reads for when the blitz is coming.
either there is already a thread on this or all these tebow threads are starting to look alike. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=76130 yup. there is already a thread. they still look all alike. guarenteed this thread becomes a pissing match between the tebows and phaytal
I don't think Whitfield does that kind of thing. And I don't think Tebow is bad at pre-snap blitz reads -- I think he's never progressed to the point where they have a bunch of flexibility for him to audible and fix it. Plus, he can't do quick throws well. He had a beautiful presnap read against the Vikings last year. I thought it was his greatest step forward as a quarterback that I've seen to date. Demaryius Thomas couldn't catch it in the endzone. I've often looked for video of that play. He saw it, did something pre-snap, and unloaded it more quickly than I've ever seen. Right on target to DT in the endzone.
Yep, I remember that pass. But I remember a lot of times when the blitz came and it was a bad result. Then again, the offense last year was not designed to mitigate that well, so I see your point. In college, the blitz meant nothing to Tebow, so I guess you are correct again that he can read it in the passing plays. How about another radical suggestion... Tebow is a starter in mini-camps, OTAs, and pre-season, working with the first team in a spread option offense. I wonder what that would produce. But wait, that would mean doing something with Tebow that no other starting QB has the privilege of. Nope... wait... all of them get that privilege. My bad.
