As each day goes bye I'm getting more and more pumped about the start of the NFL season. I really think for some reason the Jets are really going to do something good this season. I don't know why I can't break it down why we will just have a gut feeling.
Cant wait, sucks I gotta work sunday but imma get that NFL rewind and try to stay away from the scores but that's gunna be rough
I can't wait to blow out the Raiders,Have the fan base and the Jets orginazation overreact to the big opening day win ,then go on to lose the next 7 straight. No I really am excited tho
You know I feel the same way usually, but this August has flew by for me! Maybe it's because I've been so busy with work and stuff, but Holy shit, I can't believe it's already August 21st!
Its a great feeling that the Regular Season is around the corner. nyjetsknicks247 I had to work Sundays for 4 years at one job and not being able to watch football SUCKED BIG TIME to say the least so I feel your pain. Only thing that scares me was the way Luck / Dalton marched down the field against our number 1st and ALMOST made it look easy.. Like a pitch and catch in both games. Now comes the Giants and lets see how the number 1st do against Eli and the Giants 1st stringers. If we have the same thing happen then either we spend some of that extra cash in a hurry for a legit CB or this team can be 1 - 5 or worse. JMO hope not but it just feels that way.
Not me, can careless when the season starts honestly. If it got pushed back a year I wouldnt even care.
No its honestly because I think the Jets are going to underachieve and Rex will be cut at the end of the year. Id rather delay what I perceive as the inevitable because we dont have a good enough QB starting to get us into the postseason =/
Well CB/QB whatever. The Jets had like one of the worst point differentials in the league last year, and somehow went 8-8. The other teams that had similar point differentials all won 4 games or less. I even recall when we were 5-4, we were the FIRST team in NFL history to be 5-4 despite having the point differential that we had. So my whole point is that even if this team does improve, it might not be enough to improve the record. Yes we were 8-8, but a team that has a point differential that we had typically wins 4 games or less. And unforunately it is a new season so it doesnt matter how fortunate we might have gotten last year, major improvements will be needed for us to win 10 games. (turnovers, QB play, CB play) Here is the article about the 5-4 thing, the Jets were -62 at that point....you have to go back to 1962 to the Steelers who -56 and were 5-4: http://www.footballperspective.com/...rst-points-differential-of-any-5-4-team-ever/
It's far more likely the Jets lay a huge rotten egg against the Raiders, then shut down the NFL's best QBs the following 5 weeks.
Peterson gives up so many TDs. Crabtree makes him his bitch each matchup. Give me Richard Sherman with his ability to generate TOs
Our corners are going to be roasted, I know that does not excite me much. Everything else I can live with.
Once Millner comes back we will be ok at CB. Plus I still think the Jets are going to sign another CB. Once the cuts get started.
