Blaylock is not a good option in any FFL. You may also want to drop your avatar.

Blaylock is a decent caddy for a great back. He's no kind of golfer on his own though.

I'd rather it be Barlow, but it was Blaylock yesterday and Mangini won't tell anyone who the starter will be this week.

  9. We're making way for a poor man's "Thunder and lightning" w/ Blaylock and Barlow. It hasn't taken full effect as Barlow is still learning the playbook, but that's what it will be by midseason.

Don't expect to see this long term however, I can almost guarantee that we will target a franchise RB next offseason...plenty available in this coming draft class.

Boy, what geniuses displaying their intelligence on these message boards. I guess after realizing that with 2 rookies on the front line, an unproven replacement for Kendall, an add-on in Clements, we can pretty much disprove that the fault in the running is all on them but on Balylock, Barlow, etc. Guess
it's not possible that the line needs a bit more time to work out the kinks?
    Nahh......

Funny, the Jets surrenderd all of 86 yds on the ground to the Titans, so I guess Brown and Henry should be cut?

Not likely. However if he does, you have to wonder just how much of an improvement a RB with a knee condition would be over a underachieving backup and a malcontent with a chip on his shoulder..

Not a pretty picture by any stretch. Somehow, I get the feeling that Barlow will prevail here..

Barlow will gradually assume the starting role as he learns the playbook I would think. Don't ever expect Mangini to say anything about it, though.

I'm predicting the same thing, but not so gradually. I think you'll see a lot more of Barlow this Sunday.

It'll be a week by week basis. I'd assume whoever performs best in practice will get most of the carries. Also will probably depends who we play each week.

We might do the Tiki Barber and jacobs thing the Giants did. We will use them both but use Barlow more in goal line situations because of his size and strength

I really want Mangini to get Barlow the ball more. Blaylock seems to not put in any 2nd effort every time he gets touched and he never runs to his full speed. I'd rather have a back that runs harder than one who is faster.

I hope Houston gets the majority of carries this week.

I think Houston and Askew are on the bubble...
