I'm a Skins fan and even though I would like the Jets to trade for Ramsey, the best QB available will be Brooks. With NO just signing Brees he should be released soon. What do you think?

There will be a ton of interest in Brooks when he is released. He'll get more teams interested than Brees.

Maybe more teams will be interested, but only because he'll get less money and won't be a starter, possibly.

I actually wouldn't mind getting Brooks at all to compete with Chad. He's much better than Ramsey or whoever else we can sign. He's a very different style of a QB than Chad, and could help us out by winning some games.

I would be more content with you playing QB then Aaron Brooks. He's one of the most inconsistent turnover prone qb's ever to play the game.

Brooks is a better version(sometimes) than Quincy Carter. There is no denying his talent but he is just way too erratic for me.
But if we can get him on an incentive based contract or for a mil or 2 a year then it would be worth it.
He is in dire need of change of scenery and just may be up to a challange of proving himself again.

I think the most likely place for Brooks to end up is a 1 year contract with the Bengals. Palmer won't be ready to play most of the season. Kitna went to Detroit. Brooks goes in and plays with quality players and shows the NFL he is a good QB. The following year he hits the market. This is a very possible scenario.

I'd rather have Brooks than Ramsey myself.

For sure. He is by far the best of what is left.

Why have either one? Penny is a proven starter and if he stays healthy, why not just pick up a young QB in the draft?

Other than the fact that Brooks is horrible, I can't really think of any other reason why not Brooks..

Not Brooks again. I am always down for people voicing their opinions, but this needs to stop. He would never cut it in NY. He could not get it done in NO and made horrible decisions thoughout his time there. He would get chewed up in NY. Also, I do not think Mangini is looking for a guy like him, Gunslinger with low IQ.

I would prefer Brooks. He can make throws Chad would die for, plus he can scramble and has never had a serious injury. Given the xtra time D'Brick will give him plus some coaching and he would be fine.

Have any of you actually SEEN Aaron Brooks play?

Brooks was surrounded with talent in New Orleans, and he couldn't win a thing. Not too many teams have receivers like Joe Horn, or backs like Deuce McCallister. Brooks consistently found new ways to bungle it.

If you thought Testaverde was bad, you haven't seen Brooks. This guy is a graduate of the school of chuck. "When in doubt, just chuck it up." He is yet another useless mobile quarterback. Teams that win do it with intelligent pocket passers who can read the field, not morons who make plays with their feet to make up for their inability to go through progressions/poor decision making.

What talent? 32nd ranked Defence, 28th ranked rushing attack in 2004.

1 receiver who can catch. Yet the Saints won 8 games and should have made the playoffs.

Who won them those 8 games?
