i am so sick of arod... Moose is pitching better then the score shows... so far, what; 2 errors this inning?
What are people worried about? It's only the bottom of the third, and we're only down two. A-Rod has a great series, then commits a couple of errors, and suddenly he's crap again. When are the fair-weathers going to "get it?"
Even though I like A-Rod, can't blame people for getting on him. He has not had an "A-Rod" stretch at all this year, and when he's hitting well it's a fielding problem, and when he's fielding well it's a hitting problem. This is a totally different player from the guy we saw last year. This is even worse than 2004.
Yeah, he's struggled a bit this year. More in the field than at the plate, but big deal. Had Matsui and Sheff been in the lineup all year, does A-Rod hit significantly more homers? Probably. Is he a great 3B? No. But then again, he is the best SS playing out of position in baseball. He's had some struggles this year. I'm not going to get down on him for it. If the NY media and Steve Phillips didn't begin this ridiculous smear campaign against A-Rod, I highly doubt we even have this conversation right now.
Yes we would, because the fans were the ones that started it. And you don't need the media to tell you A-Rod, for his standards, is having a poor year.
Hey Alio, just noticed that avatar. I wonder what PF4 will say about that. First the M&Ms...now this.
I can Guarantee ESPN will play it down though. Remember when the Yankees got swept at almost this exact time last year by the Royals? ESPN had a 9 min. opening on the friggin thing. Same as the A-Rod thing. 7 min opening. The New England love fest seems to be kinda strong on ESPN.
Well, the M&M's had nothing to do with her. It was just an idea I got into my head, so I made it. I didn't even know she had a green M&M for her avatar. This new one is just temporary. It will be back to the M&M's tomorrow. I made this one specifically because of PF4. She knew I was going to, I warned her. Check out the last two pages of the "Bunker" thread.
That's not how I remember it. I remember hearing the boos after ESPN started talking crap about A-Rod. Then the NY media jumped on board when the fans started booing, and fueled the fire.
