I just saw that he made a tackle and had no idea we picked him up. I lived in Fargo, ND and followed him while he played at 3 time champs North Dakota State, he is a stud
He was a really good corner for NDSU.... Like shutdown corner good. In case you don't know NDSU is considered to be the Alabama of the FCS... I wanted the Jets to take him in the latter rounds last year. Marcus can be a good player in this league without question.
Well he was jobless 3 weeks ago... we signed him to the PS 2.5 weeeks ago... he was starting last week
They got him from the kitchen of McDonalds... He' came outta nowhere and has played pretty good these 2 weeks.
He's currently our best corner on the active roster...I got excited when he actually broke on the ball and made a PBU, which lead to a turnover....go figure
Walls is a good 4 and below average starter. I consider a "diamond in the rough" to be an above average starter. Williams has played well, but again, it's only been 2 weeks.
Really like this kid. Cautious to get my hopes up, but you've either got it or not. Not for anything,........despite every JET fan complaining about Idzik & his reluctance to acquire a shut-down corner, the JETS are 16th in pass defense (yrds). And this despite losing our 2013 1st round + 2014 3rd round CB picks lost for the season with injuries. And yet somehow, someway its Idzik's fault.
The Jets coming into todays game were last in QB rating on passes thrown by opposing QBs with a 112 QBR. There is no question our secondary is the worst in the league. If Rex was given one competent CB to start the year whether it was Cromartie, DRC or whomever it would be hard to argue that the Jets would not have won at least 2 more games if not many more than that. Give the Jets two competent corners and we go from a bad defense to a very good defense. Idzik doomed this year by banking our season on Miliner and Peterson.
