I will never understand this perspective. Good coaches turn bad teams around very quickly every year. Rebuilds are not supposed to take 3 years. Glenn should get 1, maybe 2 years, and if we're not a hell of a lot better by the end of year 2 he should be gone.
I’m a lot about how it all looks so I try not to put a timeline on it. But as of now, it looks horrendous. Our better players are all underperforming for the most part (Q, Sauce, Breece, Sherwood, Cisco, Will McDonald, etc.). There aren’t any “lower” tier players that are being elevated beyond their expected performance. The only three players I think that are playing any semblance of good football right now are the two tackles and Garrett Wilson and the two tackles looked a bit shaky for the first time last week. On top of that, the effort is utter garbage. A lot was made of Chris Jones’s shitty effort on the final Lawrence touchdown last night. Analysts could have a field day with Jets defenders doing the same thing all year but specifically against the Cowboys. We also have a chronic fumbling which I’ve never seen hit a NFL team before. I’ve seen specific players have the problem, not what seems like an entire fucking team. So yeah. Bad roster and all but if the good players played up to their potential, we wouldn’t be so bad and that’s on coaching IMO.
It's not going to take three years to see if Glenn is the kind of coach he was hired to be. Year two is when things absolutely need to be on an upswing for him to survive.
If players have quit on him already then they are not players we want on this team at all. The deep embedded stench of suck also is within the players as well. Keep the players who are pissed at losing, pissed at making mistakes, that strive to solve issues and deficiencies ...start there. Until we purge this team of everyone I have zero faith of a turnaround. We broke a group of men that are all now a ok with losing. Culturally start there and build a foundation but one can't exist in this power vacuum of ownership
