I thought someone would have figured out Boozer was the guy who scored three TDs on five occasions from what I wrote in post #30. I figured someone would have researched which Jets scored 13 or more TDs in one season. Boozer led the AFL in touchdowns in 1967 and led the NFL in touchdowns in 1972. He only played 8 games in 1967. He injured his knee in the 8th game and didn't return to action till the following season. His game-by-game touchdown numbers in 1967- 9/10 at Buffalo- 0 (Bills 20, Jets 17) 9/24 at Denver- 3 (Jets 38, Broncos 24) 10/1 vs Miami- 3 (Jets 29, Dolphins 7) 10/7 vs Oakland- 2 (Jets 27, Raiders 14) 10/15 vs Houston- 2 (Oilers 28, Jets 28) 10/22 at Miami- 2 (Jets 33, Dolphins 14) 10/29 vs Boston- 1 (Jets 30, Patriots 23) 11/5 at Kansas City- 0 (Chiefs 42, Jets 18) The Jets were 5-1-1 going into that Chiefs game. Boozer got hurt in that game and never regained his explosiveness. He still was an effective player, of course. The Jets went 3-3 down the stretch and finished one game behind Houston for the Eastern Division crown.
i think it can happen. this offense can explode at any time. plus they have the seahawks and 49ers left. one of this two defenses can be easily exploited.
