C'mon you guys know the Jets by now. We are the fucking kings of ugly wins and pull shit out of our asses on a weekly basis. But shit, like the OP said, a win's a win and I'll take it however we can get it.

I'll tell you one thing though, the receivers didnt help out Sanchez much at all today. Mark was pretty accurate today. Hitting the wide outs in the perfect spots and our ys couldnt come down with the ball. Hill really needs to work on his hands and he'll be a serious force to be reckoned with. Im really glad we pulled out this win, we needed it badly with SF and Houston coming to town. Those games are going to be really tough to win and going into it 1-2 would've been bad.

And on another side note, I'm extremely upset about Revis. I was listening on the radio at the time he was injured and the way they described it didn't sound good at all. They said he was grimacing in pain grabbing his knee and he was carted off the field. Sounds like he's going to be out for a good chunk of time which is just TURIBLEEEE

We rarely win ugly. These are the game we hang around, hang around, hang around, and then brutally lose. We don't win these types of games. This wasn't a typically Jets win.

We have SF, HOU, and IND coming up. Gotta come out of that stretch 1-2 at worst and 1-2 seems most realistic.

Reggie Bush was a big factor in that game. The phins just kept running it and running it. They didn't want the secondary to get a chance. As soon as Bush left the game. Bang pick 6. Bang, another turnover. Tannehill was forced into more throwing, which generally bodes well for our secondary, even with Revis out. That goal line sequence was shades of Shoddy and that challenge was bullshit! We spotted em 4 points there, we shouldn't have needed to win ugly, but we did anyways. All I hope is that Revis isn't out too long.

The Raiders have so much potential to be a good team (as evidence is our loss to them last year). McFadden has extremely high potential and could really be the best RB in the league if he didn't have such bad injury problems. Also cant believe the Vikings beat the Niners. They are going to be pissed about that loss when we play them next week. Lets just hope they play as bad as they did today. Also cant believe that Arizona beat Philly and is 3-0. Looks like that Kolb trade is finally paying off for them.

Even in that so called "great game", he still managed to drop a pass or two. What good is a fast WR who cant catch....

Well, let's break it down. Stephen Hill is a ROOKIE. Rookie means he has not played at NFL speed or competition before and these are his first 3 regular season games. This means he is adjusting to the NFL speed like other ROOKIES. Catching, is something that can be improved on in games and practice. He gets more games and practice as he plays more as a ROOKIE. Soon he will have so many practice and games and then get a full offseason with the Jets. Then he progresses to a 2nd year player. At this time, he then has been working on catching the ball consistently.

His KNOWN problem was drops coming out of the draft, and you expect him to have it corrected within 3 weeks of the NFL season?

And Braylon was a fast WR who couldn't catch, and then lo and behold he got better at catching. It's something you can work on with more time. If you expect to catch everything thrown at him in 3 weeks, you were expecting him to be Fitz or Calvin out of the gate which is highly unrealistic

The same Miami that crushed the Raiders, who beat the Steelers, who beat the Jets.

Normally I am very happy w/ ugly wins but losing Revis makes this a painful win. I'm obviously still happy we won but losing him for the year(which is likely) is kind of a deathblow for this team.

Even though Miami sucks, no game within the AFC East is easy (and our record against the Dolphins during the Rex Ryan era bears that out.)

The Jets went out and did what they had to do yesterday. Now let's never speak of it again.

we could have beat the fish worse than we beat the bills and losing revis would still have taken all the air out of our sails. Viking never had a revis and they still got 'er done....and the other 30 teams in the nfl never had a revis either and half of them still get 'er done every week. Would hate to lose revis, but if we do then we will move ahead without him. Thank god we have Rex to figure it out the best he can.

Yes, a win is a win and I'm happy about it. But winning they way we did and having Revis go down is enough to make me want to throw up

Not that I wanted to see this happen but it's going to be interesting to see which theory really takes root now that Revis is likely out... either a) losing Revis is the death knell of this defense or b) cornerbacks really aren't that important and while losing Revis sucks it won't sink the defense.

The outcome of that will likely affect how Tanny approaches the Revis situation in the offseason.

In the meantime, can we get another weapon in from FA please? A running back, a WR, or both?

I really don't mind winning the way they did, a win is a win but losing Revis is a killer.

I think we will be ok, we'll still win 7 to 9 games but I don't think we are a threat to do anything special w/o our best player. We'll see.
