NE could be a thorn in our sides with all the picks they have. I'm fully on board with a trade down, like usual. With all the supposed interest in quarterbacks, I think it's definitely possible we can find a trading partner. Either way, unless someone falls a lot further than expected, I can't see us trading up.

We lose too much leverage moving up. If we move down, maybe we can grab a young WR or a young CB, and if Holmes/Edwards/Cromartie wants too much money, we can just show them the door.

Plus, if we start getting some mid draft picks, we have more chances to uncover diamonds in the rough who we can use as cheaper ways to fill needs down the line. I would bet we rely on undrafted free agents more than most teams. While I love that Tannenbaum finds guys he likes and goes and gets them, we could use some more young talent at WR, TE, RT/LG, DE, NT, OLB, CB, and S.

We've been very lucky with injuries lately. That might not last.

This is the feeling I have too, what with the QB workouts.
I really hope we trade down, there should still be plenty of talent for our needs in the second.

Honestly, I think there's a better chance we trade out of the 1st round to recoup some draft picks and then use those (possibly along with some future picks) to trade up into the 2nd.

To move up for Quinn, we'd have to do a similar one to the trade when the Jags jumped from 26 to 8 to get Derrick Harvey. That cost the 26th pick, two 3rds, and a 4th, so realistically if we offered 30, our third and fourth rounder, and a 2012 second rounder, that could be a possibility. Way, way too much to give up though in my opinion.

Even though we'd have to give up a ton, I'd still be ecstatic if we got Quinn. I think he'll be the best player in this draft.

If we gave up our first three picks this year and next years second for quinn, I would be for it...Yes we loose some depth but we get a player that can jump right in an be a dominate pass rusher from September 11th, 2011, for 7+ years. I would also be in favor of trading up for aldon smith if he got to somewhere around 14-16 (I dont know what it would take, maybe this years 1st and 3rd and next years 3rd, if thats what it would take, that would be a steal)
