Powell had some kind of shoulder thing from the previous week. He played, But i saw him leaving in the first quarter flexing the shoulder. Someone else said it was a neck issue.
This is getting odd fast. Did he even practice yesterday? Code: Name Position Injury ...... Wed. Allen, Antonio S Groin/Finger LP Coples, Quinton DE Ankle FP - Cribbs, Josh WR Knee FP - - Cromartie, Antonio CB Hip FP - Cumberland, Jeff TE Hamstring DNP - Ellis, Kenrick DT Back FP - - Holmes, Santonio WR Hamstring DNP - Mangold, Nick C Ribs LP - - McIntyre, Garrett LB Knee FP - Milliner, Dee CB Hamstring FP - Nelson, David WR Hamstring FP - Reuland, Konrad TE Knee LP - - Salas, Greg WR Knee LP - - Walls, Darrin CB Shoulder FP http://www.newyorkjets.com/team/injury.html
Well they can't hide it anymore so if he's not on the list he is fine physically..who knows what else may be going on. Last time this happened (Goodson went missing) there was a suspension on the horizon.
If he had or was carrying an injury he would have been listed. Its strange that all of a sudden his carries just dropped off. God I hope its not another Goodson situation.
He had an issue with his neck, but I don't think it was serious. I think they just decided to ride the hot hand against NE. The nice thing is that Powell should be well rested and fresh for this game with the Bungles.
This is the most logical explanation. The quetioning shown on this thread would no doubt continue, for good reason, if Powell does not see the field much against Cincy. But i think he will, ending a lot of speculation. The Jets will be well served by a rotation involving both, keeping both fresh all season. As long as Ivory stays on the field, Goodson's departure will not hurt so much.
You are probably right. The fact we were pounding it up the middle with ivory and bohannan, No need to risk powell since he did carry a heavy load the whole season with the other 2 RB's out. I still think we could use another RB.
