Yisman, inferring that the UN resolution is bad because of Muslim-sponsorship ignores the core issue here: the continued building of settlments by Israel. President Obama is not acting in a Muslim-centric manner so much as he's sustaining American support for a two-state solution, something that continued building of these settlements totally flies in the face of. And the idea of a two-state solution is something even President Regan supported.

As for "needing to do a bit more damage before Trump takes power," watch the damage in Palestinian-Israeli relationns after Trump comes into power if his pick of Daniel Friedman, his hawkish bankruptcy lawyer as Ambassador to Israel is any indication. The appointment of Friedman is political manna for Bibi Netanyahoo and the Israeli right wing hawks.
