Ok...Is he not one of the best Young Middle Linebackers in Football?

The man is going to be entering his 3rd season and he's playing like a 6-year Veteran. Not everyone is going to be Hall of Fame man, but he has had a very good start to possibly be considered for a HOF one day...

I agree..What is Champ coming from. The kid had the most tackles in the NFL. He is the best defensive player we got and will be for years to come.

Why is Bradways entire reputation rest on 1st rounders and who makes it to the popularity (pro) bowl anyways? Bradway was not good at managing a team, given. He took risks with Thomas and DRob given the situation at the time (which most people agreed with).

But how bout these names: Rhodes, Coleman, Hobson, miller, reed, mckenzie. All late round selections where Bradway has been able to pick out gems. Even players we let get away we see their potential on other teams (moss, jordan, mckenzie).

There are two side to the story. A GM provides the talent, the COACHES develop the talent. Watching our guys go to other teams and flourish makes me think the latter was the problem.

I am very happy with Bradway as a scout

Coincidentally how many Hall of Fame players are in the game right now in your opinion? Is anyone not worthy of the Hall of Fame not worth a passing glance? Come on, let's talk as men, bs and ego aside, there's a reason why the Hall of Fame is the Hall of Fame. Plenty of good players will not make it into the Hall of Fame. That being said, I'm not sure I'd count Vilma out of the Hall of Fame yet (he just completed his first two, pretty good, seasons).

Not when you compare him to others in the NFL not just the NYJs. Was he voted in as a all star or alternative? He got there cause Zach dropped out

Your surely entitled to your opinion as I am to mine so we will allow the sands of time yo take over like I said with Herm & we will see the results when JV career is history.

That's not a golden parachute; that's a demotion and a reduction in pay. Unless there's some other incentive that no one is telling us, all Bradway did was defer half his salary. Kind of dumb, if you ask me.

Not to mention, I just can't stand someone who looks at another's income and decides how happy the guy should be. Does Peter King have his mortgage payment? Is he contributing to the Bradway retirement plan. If not, then he should stay out of the friggin' business of judging how happy someone else should be.

He actually does compare to the others in the NFL. He led the league in tackles last year. Granted, our shitty offense kept our defense on the field for a long time, but an average player doesn't lead the league in tackles.

I agree with this post. Bradway to me was just an average GM. The bad out-weigh the good with his decision on drafts and free agency...

Good - Drafting Vilma. Getting Coleman and Rhodes late. Luckily was able to get Miller to drop. Getting Adrian Jones, he isn't that good, but a late round find who started. Signing Eric Barton as a Free Agent, Pete Kendall as well. I still say Derrick Strait in Round 3 was a good pick, a Nickel CB for Round 3 isn't all that bad.

Bad - Trading up for Robertson, the jury is still out. Taking Bryan Thomas over Ed Reed and Lito Sheppard. Signing Curtis Conway to replace Coles. I'm not gonna say losing Jordan because we had Martin who was coming off a career year. And the Nugent pick i'm not gonna bash, though it was a high pick for a kicker, he made 22 of 28, needs to improve on KO's greatly....

Failing to lure in Antoine Winfield. Trading a 2nd for McCareins. The Doug Jolley i'm not gonna get much into because it did get us Justin Miller...

The bad out-number the good. But like I said, to me he was an average GM.

You really have no idea about anything huh?

    Jonathan Vilma is average? HUH?
BT is below avg, I'd agree.
Nugent was NOT considered a kickoff specialist, and is going to be a great kicker.

So JV is an average LB, and barely deserves the PB, let alone the HOF?

I think his CV so far is OK. Maybe if he could KO or rush the QB he could step in for Nuge and BT and then TB would be a VIP and not RIP.

Then again, it could all be BS...

I don't know what you expect out of a guy in his first 2 years in the league, but I think its safe to say that every other team in the league would like to have a player like Vilma. There isn't anyone else in the draft I'd rather have at that spot, and I'm sure there are plenty teams that passed up on Vilma that wish they hadn't. The End. ><

I gotta admit I did want DJ Williams over Vilma:breakdance:. But I was happy with the pick, and now it's really showing...Gotta love it.

Champ will never say anything positive about the Jets or any one of the players. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can put him on your ignore list like so many of us. You're wasting your time if you expect anything other than a negative post out of him.

    You are ridiculous.

  18. Despite what Jet fans may think, and despite his draft position, D rob is widely considered one of the best young DT's in the NFL. A step below Tommie Harris and Shaun Rogers.

championjets69. in response to your many comments that Vilma is an average LB and not a star.

You are smoking crack. Just put the pipe down... thats right...put it down.

Im not even going to dignify your assertion with a real response. Go ask every single professional NFL analyst what they think of Vilma. best young MLB after Urlacher.
