Drafting quality offensive linemen is huge, but let's not underestimate the fact that they happen to have Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and DeMarco Murray as well. For all the shit Jerry Jones has been taking, he's doing exactly what I've been talking about in other threads, he is committing to a strategy and gathering the personnel to do so. His team centers around Romo and the offense, so he has accumulated players to protect Romo and make plays for him. HOWEVER, even though Dallas' defense has been a bit better than projected, they will not stand up against powerhouse NFC offenses. Dallas needs better personnel on the defensive side if they want to be a legitimate contender. The Jets were/are in a true rebuild, and they have been investing in their bread and butter: defense, and the run offense. With an unfortunate slew of injuries, the defense has not been as good as we hoped but there is time to bounce back. There is time to look like a decent NFL team before the year is through, and the truth is we were never going to be a real contender, even at our best.
have you watched the all22 film? he hasnt been an all-pro, but he has easily been our best interior lineman, and probably our best overall lineman. overall our line has been really poor. especially the oakland and SD games. but winters hasnt been the big problem. people are too caught up on perception and last year. NFL replay is free for 7 days, its worth signing up for even just to watch the games so far for free. the TV angle can be very decieving at times, the all22 angle really opens your eyes to whats going on
Mangold has been our worst lineman. i know he has been great for us over the years, and maybe its just a slow start, but he has been beat and overpowered badly especially the last few weeks. its not like he is taking on 2 guys either, he is getting beat at the point of attack pretty frequently, and what is most noticeable is on plays where he is supposed to pull on runs he is getting driven back off the snap and hasnt gotten to the outside
I don't watch All22 but no way Winters is better than Mangold. He's responsible for a turnover a game. cj fumble and he interception to Sudfeld. He's a liability in pass pro.
I think you need to get your eyes checked. Like I said, Mangold rated #1 center on PFF this season. I will take that word over yours. Even though, PFF does have it's double standards, they would not rank Mangold #1 unless there was a good reason so.
The short week is the best thing here, hopefully they don't rush Brian Winters back in there anytime soon. Aboushi deserves the nod this Thursday.
Mangold the number 1 center in the league?????????????????????????????????// GTFOH Winteres is diarrhea, Colon is diarrhea, the asshole from Seattle isn't diarrhea but hes shit and Mangold and Brock are on their way to shit.
