lol all KC did was piss off a couple of other teams most likely. They'd have to win AT LEAST 5 and probably run the table to make the playoffs of their last six games: Pittsburgh at Chicago at Jets Green Bay Oakland at Denver How are they even getting four wins out of that?
Yes! This move should make the Jayhawks bowl-eligible. I don't see Denver finishing any better than 8-8. I think 6-10 or 7-9 is more likely. Kansas City is 2 games out right now, but they beat Oakland already and can beat them again. They will have to beat Oakland and Denver. Before that, they will have to shock some people and find a way, probably, to go 2-2 in their next 4 games? It is probably not likely, but with Orton on the team at least they have a better chance to win some games than they did with Palko. Whether they are alive in Week 16 or 17 or not, maybe they will knock out Oakland and/or Denver from the postseason. If they finish 6-10 but knocked out Denver from the division title and Orton played well- would that have been worth claiming Orton? I think so.
I've said it a million times before, Pick 6's he's tied with Matt Stafford, who I'm sure you'd kill for...it's a meaningless stat, the Raiders had no returns for pick 6's in from 06-10 if I remember correctly, and you know how great THOSE QB's were. Also, I said it on the last page that Sanchez is tied for tenth with interceptions, so unless Sanchez has four lost fumbles and Newton and Fitzpatrick have none (which they don't), you're just throwing stats out of your ass. You anti-Sanchez trolls are obnoxious.
Orton says goodbye to Denver http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/11/30/kyle-ortons-teary-farewell-to-tebow-broncos/?campaign=Twitter_blogs
Don't really get why they wouldn't have just traded him earlier this season if they were set on Tebow.
They weren't set on Tebow. Elway has been less than supportive of Tebow and it's fairly clear that he didn't see him as the QB of the future in Denver. I believe the plan was to give him a chance with the hope that he sucks it up so that they could let him go (release, trade, etc.) without the fans getting too upset. Obviously, this plan has backfired. Also, didn't they try to trade him to Miami but he wouldn't report?
right, but if they weren't set on tebow, they still should not be set on tebow, and thus could've hung onto Orton.
