You do realize that the team has the option of cutting him at any time and voiding the remainder of his contract, right? The fact that they haven't done so yet tells me they probably aren't going to go along with your lawsuit idea. The players union will back any player, regardless of ability or effort.

You act as though this is the first guy who didn't put out any effort on the field, or like he's the first bust in the world. Guess what? He isn't, and the entire thread is absurd. He's terrible, but dwelling on that and starting yet ANOTHER thread about how bad he is accomplishes nothing but giving another venue for people to bitch about him. What's done is done. He sucks, we wasted a pick, and the team for some reason wants to keep him around at least one more season. I don't see how this means we have to discuss him at great length every day.

I'm not sure how many of those cases were even successful, but your homeland is far from perfect:

    * It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament
    * It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside-down
    * In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a tropical fish store
    * Mince pies cannot be eaten on Christmas Day
    * In Scotland, if someone knocks on your door and requires the use of your toilet, you must let them enter
    * A pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants, including in a policeman’s helmet
    * The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the king, and the tail of the queen
    * It is illegal to avoid telling the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing
    * It is illegal to enter the houses of Parliament in a suit of armour
    * In the city of York, it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow

I can't post the link due to my post count, but believe me, it's there

Best case for us is that Gholston gets caught running an underground cock fighting ring in Bayone. He goes to jail for 2yrs and Woody gets his signing bonus back.

You know what? Go for it. Go out and hire a lawyer and try and sue him. I'll be laughing my ass off when I read how much in legal fees the judge will force you to pay.

I think it might be hard to argue against Gholston being the biggest bust in history based on production if he goes sackless and shows nothing again this year.

I mean Ryan Leaf gets such a bad wrap because of who he was compared to, his position, and his attitude. But the guy did throw a few touchdowns here and there. Gholston on the other hand, his primary job is to sack the qb, something he has done exactly zero times in his career. ZERO!! They have literally gotten nothing on their investment. It's really disgusting.

Unfortunately I don't think he has the appropriate amount of marbles to obtain a pilots license for that to happen..

In an interview on the radio, Tanny said Gholston's effort during the week is pretty much the only reason why the rest of the players have any respect for him.

So it's not that he's not trying; that's the scary part.

Gholston should be a poster boy for a rookie salary cap.

OK, look I see your point, but is your time at that moment really that valuable if you're reading a NY Jets fan website? Really?

I don't know about IJR, he's some Hollywood bigwig ( ;) ), but I only get limited usage thruout the day and would prefer it not be filled with completly pointless, stupid threads.

    Touche.

Some parts of the year, I do need to get on here and get back off in intervals. Plus, I do most of my posting now from Tapatalk on the iPhone. It has a limited number of threads available on the front page, and I'd rather not have a worthwhile one bumped because someone thinks it's funny to find a NEW way to criticize Gholston. If we're keeping track, I'd guess this is attempt #1,265,412.

Just for fun, I went through Gholston's wikipedia entry. The last few times it was "vandalized" (calling him a bust and whatnot), the cleanup seemed to be coming from roughly the same IP addresses, which I can only assume is his agent. I can't imagine any Jets fan who would bother cleaning the entry up. Some of the more entertaining edits:

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to be a jerk by the way, just making a brief point.

You missed the best one - It has been illegal since the reign of George I (1660-1727) for a commoner's pet to have carnal knowledge of an animal belonging to the monarch, for example a corgi.

    bahahaha

By the way, you missed the infamous McDonald's case, which I'm pretty positive was successful (lady buys coffee, puts it in her lap in the car, spills it, burns herself, sues McD's for obscene amounts of money, ya know?)
