I give you that, I am in no way putting Mark down...just look @ the names who I think are better, everyone on that list is a Pro Bowler w/2 being guaranteed HOF's.
Colin Cowheard just answered that question that besides Brady or Manning, he wouldn't trade Sanchez for anyone. He even made the argument that Sanchez is better than Rodgers.
We're a far cry away from the thinking people had that Sanchez was a petulant, sulking, spoiled brat thanks to Hard Knocks, huh? Personally, if you told me that right now I could have Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and maybe even Phillip Rivers, straight up, for Mark Sanchez, I'd probably take the offer. Those guys are still better, but Mark's got the potential to be in the same category some day.
I'd pass on Rivers for sure, because we wouldn't get to a Super Bowl with him. Rodgers also I think, because he's not in the same class as the three at the top and I think Sanchez will win more Super Bowls than he does. The other three it comes down to a choice: take the Super Bowl this year and maybe a good shot next or take a lesser shot at a Super Bowl this year but a good one next and have him for a decade? There are good arguments both ways. Super Bowls tend to be won with guys a team drafted and not traded for and so I think I'd stay with Sanchez.
Meh.. Rogers is immensely talented and can literally make EVERY type of throw, not to mention, he's mobile. Having said that, he has one of the best WR corps (including Finley) in the NFL, has more experience learning and playing than Sanchez does, consistently plays against weaker Defenses, and yet, Sanchez has more bigtime wins than him. Is Sanchez better than Rogers? Fuck no. Rogers is pretty much elite at this point; but I think his stats/Fantasy #s have altered our perception of him, elevating him to elite status. Again, Sanchez already has more impressive wins than Rogers does.
Exactly, Peyton is 34, Brady is 33, Drew Brees is 31 and short, lol. Like you said they may add something now, but our QB is 23. Besides all that we have a coach that is about as old school as you can get, it's Run Run Pass, not Pass Pass run. Besides what in the last 3 games has Mark done wrong? He's won us games by putting together drives and scoring touchdowns. Very efficiently at that. I'm not saying Mark is better then Peyton or anything but Mark is already too much QB for this offense, just 1 game I'd love to see him air out 45-50 times and see what Jet records he can break.
I love how two weeks ago there would be about 4-5 different Dolphin fan posters in this forum but now they shit the bed once again losing at home 2 straight weeks and they are no where to be found. This debate isn't over but Sanchez definitley has the lead over Henne for now.
Manning for Sanchez straight up?!?! I would take that any day as long as the first name is NOT Eli... Peyton Manning on the Jets as the squad stands right now could equate to multiple consecutive undefeated seasons with SB's at the end. The only reason the Colts are a good team is because of him. The Jets are a good all around team. You put a future HOF QB with the perennial performance to back up those stats on this team and the Jets are nearly unbeatable. A stifling D, a power run game, and a man behind center who can basically carry an entire team by himself and 19-0 consecutive years is not a far cry from reality. And don't give me the Favre bullshit - he still leads the record books in INTs and that's not a proud stat to have. Plus we have a worthwhile coach. Hell, with PManning under center we wouldn't even need Schotty anymore! :breakdance:
Sanchez is not better than Rivers or Rodgers. Maybe someday, but let's not blow things out of proportion based on a few great games.
How many games have you seen that you know how good he has looked. I heard before the Jet game that he has not looked good all pre-season and he looke crappy against the Bill and Vikes. THe Jet game was the only good game he has played. And he played like crap in December. Of course, all the media talks about is Mark's 20 interceptions.
I wouldn't want to upset the chemistry of this team by changing any major pieces. For all the distractions so far this season, the Jets have handled them pretty handily. I don't think any of the qb's mentioned bring as much "likability" to their respective teams as Mark Sanchez. He's humble as well. Imagine being stuck in an elevator with Phillip Rivers.
Phag fans think Henne is NOT the answer http://www.finheaven.com/forums/showthread.php?285083-Henne-is-not-the-future
no offense Champ, but a man your age should have a better vocabulary than to resort to calling them "Phags." It's very juvenile. IMHO.
So you are saying that all TGGers here who call the Dolphins "Phags" are all juveniles & as you say no offense intended or implied
