It's all true, but it would hurt to lose him. Watching that opening game just made me think: "what's new?", it's the same crap, just another year. Still, in better news we were undefeated last night.
Lilly pitching out of his skin, heh. Nice to be back at .500, it's been a long time! In other news, Carlos Zambrano was seen at a coconut shy last night. Apparently he walked the stallholder.
Lilly honestly has a chance to be a very good pitcher in the NL. I think he could be this years Arroyo.
It was a nice day yesterday, two big wins over a key division rival, meaning we're guaranteed to be at least .500 coming off a 6-game season-opening road trip. For all the frustrations in the two Cincy losses, this is positive. I can feel the unreasonable optimism building inside!
yeah, disgusting. personally, I wouldn't have bought a team with all those tremendously overpaid players on it.
Like who? It's only Soriano and maybe Marquis considering todays market. Anyway, nice game by Z. If he manages to walk like 2-3 guys, he's going to kick ass. If he's doing what he normally does, walking 4-5 guys, he's making games exciting/annoying.
On a bad stretch here, dropped two to the previously 1-5 Astros. Now both sides are 3-5. Hopefully Rich Hill will produce in the third game...
deRosa: injured, Ramirez: injured, Soriano: injured. It's the same script as last year, just a different cast...
4th pick overall in the Draft for Soriano, and now hes Day-to-Day, i was one pick from Reyes. Damn Cubs.
Couple of good wins for the Cubs this weekend, though obviously overshadowed by the tragedy, and the last game of the series postponed. With Soriano in left and Pie in center we look a better outfit...
Looks like the bullpen is crumbling, even Wuertz was terrible last night. Only Cherry and Cotts haven't been abysmal at some stage this year, and it's not like things are improving. :/
