Yes, because fixing the OL, and changing the playcalling obviously won't help at all.

As I said on the other thread..had Chilly not gone premenstrual and gotten rid of Moss, you'd have Moss, Rice, Harvin, and AP.

Green Bay's got the 49er's in two weeks and Singletary's hangin by a thread.

Can they pull off the coach-killing hat trick?

This is the way I see it also. Childress has had a completely undistinguished record as a head coach (27-30 other than 2009), with the one exception being last year, when (with no help from Childress) Favre had the best season of his career. As a result of that success, Childress had his contract extended a year ago through 2013. I'm not sure he can live on that money for the rest of his life, but he has nothing to complain about.

What I find interesting is this tidbit from the MSNBC report: "ESPN's Ed Werder predicts that Childress' firing will convince Favre to finish out the season." Say what? Like there was the slightest chance Favre was going to bench himself voluntarily? If Frazier has any brains he will bench Favre IMMEDIATELY, saying that he needs to see what he has at quarterback. That won't happen, of course, because he has only been named interim head coach, which is bad news for the team.

Someone needs to put Brett out to pasture.

I actually think the move to waive Randy Moss was the back breaker for Chili, he made enemies with the ownership at that point, they were just waiting for the right time to pull the trigger.

They will not bench the perv because of the money they are paying him, even if his arm falls off they will play him until it does, only to get back what they feel he owes them.

Favre got his wish. Childress is gone.

The Vikings have 6 more games on their schedule.
Now that Chilly is gone, we should expect that the Vikings will instantly improve and Favre will play great for the next 6 games.
If not, we will know that Childress wasn't the problem.

I honestly think part of what hurt this guy is that fact that he looks and talks like a child molester. I fucking hate this guy without really knowing anything about him, he looks like a fucking creep. It seems like everyone fucking hated this guy, hell I feel like I experienced some sort of moral victory with this and I have no idea why.

i visited a vikings site today to see some of the comments on this and i found it hilarious that they refer to favre as "the noodle" not noodle arm or anything else just the noodle.

I have been girlfriend/wife of a die hard Vikes fan for over 20 years. He and the rest of them are celebrating big-time today. Which means nothing for a Vikings fan really... as they kinda have to take every small sliver of chance for celebration, or they would probably all kill themselves.

I know Belichick likes to dress like a complete douche but that's gay even for him.
