It's never easy to get 11 wins PERIOD regardless of schedule. There's plenty of parity in the NFL. Any given Sunday any team can win or lose. Schedules are excuses.
Exactly, if you told me at the start of the season that the steelers would lose to a ryan mallet led ravens without their starting rb I would have laughed in your face. Week in and week out anyone can lose and its what makes football one of the best sports to watch
Why do people assume that the NFL is static year in and year out.. Everything changes. The players change uniforms. The schedule changes by your record. The team changes it personnel. The 2016 Jets will not be the 2015 Jets so WGAF what next year's schedule will look like. In addition , the 2016 Jets will be year 2 into the Bowles/Mac era so there will be a difference in a lot of areas considering both the HC and the GM won't be rookies anymore.. So it won't be a 4-12 schedule. So what... You think the 11-5 Jets aren't up to the challenge? Stop selling this team short.

I heard those dicknoodles on ESPN NY (Giants homer central) making similar arguments. "I know the Jets just beat one of the best teams in the league and biggest division rivals... and I know the Steelers lost, but stop acting like you are now likely to make the playoffs!" As if that's not allowed and we are only allowed to be robots that show no emotion after a huge win. If it were the Giants beating the Patriots and putting themselves in the driver seat they would be singing their praises. As a Jets fan, how could you not be excited about this? Telling fans that they shouldn't be happy or excited about the state of the team and our playoff chances right now, is like saying people shouldn't be fans. Obviously, yes they still have one more game to win to get in, but they are much closer than we were just a few weeks back, definitely over the hump at least. Even as a dark sider, I can acknowledge this.
