You can't even begin to understand the complexity of the pure geniousity of John Sterling. Suzyn Waldman "gets it" but when she tries to express it, it just sounds like fingernails on a blackboard.

I can't stand listening to games on the radio. Not that hearing Kay on YES is much better, but at least there, he has co-announcers that know what they're talking about.

it's a double if Gardner gets on because you know he's going to steal

I keep putting myself through this because it's the only baseball on the radio, but it's really hard to get through it without throwing my radio through the window.

someone should ask Sterling if it's still a double if Gardner walks and then Jeter hits into a patented double play before Gardner can even attempt a steal. I can guarantee that scenario will happen a few times.

I don't think I've heard anyone with a more annoying home run call, and I've listened to a lot of baseball games.

Waldman having a scratchy orgasm attempting to describe the home run. I can almost hear the moans.

John, this is baseball. If you swing, and the ball hits you, it's a strike, and in this case it's interference. This isn't rocket science, in fact, it's even known in Little League, and it's your job to know it. Dumbass.

Probably how he always says it. Don't take Sterling too seriously. he's not a classic play by play man but I love him and will miss him when he's gone. Give me Sterling over Kay any day.

I always find it odd when people have been announcing baseball games for 34 years and still don't know the rules.

If you factor out Waldman, I totally agree with you. With Waldman though, the radiocast is near impossible to get through without putting my fist through a wall.

That's the "Melky Way"? WTF?!?! I've heard "The Melk Man delivers" but not that shit. Was another catchphrase for Melky Cabrerra really necessary?

I actually like Suzyn. She's doesn't have the greatest voice but I worked w/ her for a little while and she is very nice so I like here and I don't think she does a bad job(w/ the exception of the day Clemens announced he was returning).
