I don't think you realize how detrimental that would be for this franchise. It may be something you are saying jest, but if they drafted a TE with pick #2, this franchise is fucked forvever. I couldn't care less if the guy is the next Gronk. We don't need the next Gronk right now. If this occurred, JD should be fired the second after the pick is made.
Neither you nor I will be consulted but I think this is the way to go. Forever is a long time. Read about him he's not just a TE and JD will be around for a long time.
So you are serious. You think drafting a TE is the way to go with our 2nd overall pick? Skip every QB, every OL, every WR, every RB, and every CB and draft a TE
No, you would trade back and gain some extra picks and then pick him 5-7 or whatever he is definitely going top 10, so it really isn't that outlandish for us to select him.
You realize that there are guys here who believe an adult player's parents should have a part in their relationship with the team, right? If you're going to grant that you have to open them up to the cheers and boos.
What the hell did that guy's parents say as they walked on stage with him? For the booing to be justified it would have to have been fuck you Jets and even then that would have been semi understandable.
Honestly, I haven't seen it so i have no idea but I do believe parents should not be part of the process. Show them in the stands, interview them at home but don't go to work with your kid.
This was draft night though not a work night if you want to use that analogy. Somebody booed my kid when I was in the stands we would be having a frank discussion very quickly. I thought you Americans were all about one big happy family love?
Are you nuts? When it comes to sports, it's every man for himself. Jets fans have been booing draft choices for as long as there have been Jets fans - and rightfully so. Again, I don't want to see anybody's parents on stage - they belong in the audience or at home. Next thing you know they'll want the GM to guarantee to protect their little angel.
You haven't been following along very well the past couple years here in America. As far as a players parents getting booed, I think I'd boo them solely for being on the stage.
Take your Darnold hate glasses off and be reasonable. Nobody is even suggesting all the stuff you keep hinting at but by that measure booing people on draft night is crass and a little pathetic. If you think otherwise then there's nothing left to say is there.
I don't really follow America but at every press release event or awards if they are not thanking God they are blessed by their brilliant family and couldn't do it without them. Hell, Steve Mc couldn't get any more love on here for his motivational video with his son lol I don't agree they should be on the stage tbh but booing them is hardly going to get the best out of anybody either.
Jets fans boo. Its what we do. When they win, maybe we will stop. The fans turned out to be right anyway. Kyle Brady over Warren Sapp was an abomination.
