What an accomplishment, maybe if he had moss hed have made it past the 1st or 2nd round? and culpepper is done, just like chad.
Does anyone know of any QB's entering the final year of their contract? I need something to look forward to.
It's ignorant people like you that bring racism into situations where it would otherwise be absent. How can you say that simply because no team wants to sign a QB that couldn't cut it with the Dull-phins or the Raiders that its due to racism. He has a diminished skill set and is just a shell of his former self. The race card is all but played out in my opinion, and I'm sure if Daunte was White you would have no problem with all these teams passing on him. So whos the racist?
He played with Moss 1 year in D1-AA. He had better numbers and led Marshall to an undefeated season 2 years later in D1 without Moss. He was also in the Heisman running without Moss. Look a little bit into history instead of spout off at the mouth. I am done arguing with you, I just wanted to point out that he only played 1 year with Moss and it was his redshirt sophmore year. It took about 30 seconds to look that up on google. If you just stick to facts or your clearly stated opinion based on facts you will be better off.
Dante Culpepper plays poker in the Hard Rock down here all the time. He does not look like he still has any adverse effects of the surgery although getting chased to the river by some smelly 240# middle aged poker player is way different then getting chased by Shawn Merriman. oh and no forgetabout him, lets wait till Michael Vick gets released.
i wansnt talking about the league being racist i was talking about the people on this board. its not blatant racism but it sure as hell is all over the place. so lets see we have no qb, well we have one that cant hit the side of a barn and one whose arm falls off 3 times a day (at least thats how we make fun of it in another thread) what exactly is the harm in bringing in a guy who may very well be washed up, hell he probably is washed up. there would be no harm in it see what he can do, thats all. not that i really even think he SHOULD BE brought in, he probably cant help, but he has talent and i tend to think more than both of the guys we have, does that make him a great qb or not past his prime? absolutely not. but he does have talent. my issue is not with the nfl its with the holier than thou attitudes on this board, all the things i said in my first post, are the things i continually see posted about why we shouldnt bring this guy or that guy in. and it just so happens most of the time this and that guy are black guys. its even gotten to the point of saying a guys retarded because of the way he talks. fact is that wayne chrebet got almost as many votes for the greatest receiver of all time as did wesley walker, now while not outright its just another thing that adds up. cause if you really think wayne chrebet was as good as wesley walker you have got to have something wrong with you. its the forum fellas not the team.
After reading that all I can say is your even more rediculous than I thought you were at first, which isn't too easy to pull off.
This is what I want you to do from now on. As you sit in front of the computer and the thoughts start to assemble in your head, there's that one moment right before you tap the first key leading up to one of your gems like the one we have above. At that point, take off your shoe and hit yourself repeatedly about the head, enough times where you are able to draw blood and fall from the chair as you pass out. When you find yourself coming to, repeat the process.
Once again you can continue to defend your overrated mediocre Qb. Once again we will be having this same conversation next year this time when you will be looking for more passer rating stats to defend the most overrated athlete in the history of Ny sports.
Just out of curiosity do you think Wayne Chrebet is better than Wesley Walker. They were both great Jets but I would like to know if you think Wayne WOnder was better. I missed that poll but I think Maynard should have finished ahead of both of them.
hmy: I could be wrong here, but, didn't you just answer your very own question as to why Culpepper wouldn't...aaahhh...i'm outta here.
It seemed to me that Culpepper came in as a big hard throwing down-the-field QB -- reminding me a lot of Vince Young. He could really fling it and was lucky enough to be given some time by his OL to get it to his flyer, Randy Moss. But Moss left, and poor Culpepper got his leg busted up about as bad as it could be. He has never been that much of a system quarterback -- I don't know that he possesses much subtlety or is able to trick anybody. But the question remains whether he has all his physical faculties back the way they were. It would be absolutely necessary if he still isn't all that mentally disciplined.
