The first 3 picks were great but the last 2 were absoluetly atroucious. We are in prime position to draft starters and we draft two guys that will be lucky to make the team. Wow these 2 3rd round picks were terrible.

Looks like another guy for the system. Had 100+ tackles this year, not too shabby for the Big 10.

All in all, I give today's picks a B. Love the 1st three, not sold on last two. But I'm not the coach or GM so I'll let them do their jobs and trust they will do it well.

Not that bad of a pick. Look at the safeties.

Rhodes and Coleman starting. Strait is average. Maddox was hurt all last year due to injuries. Washington is a complete bust.

But I would have like to see Giles or Callahagan (sp?), but this is not so out there.

I really don't understand either 3rd rounder. I thought inside linebacker and safety were two of our strongest positions, and it's not like either of these players were too good to pass up. I really think that Tangini is caring way too much about character, and not enough about talent.

it makes zero sense to me that these two guys are left on the board, have the ability to START and all i hear about Smith is that he can provide DEPTH or SPECIAL TEAMS help...i mean i understand the whole tough guy mold a la patriots teams but cmon!

these 3rd rd picks dont make much sense. The safety pick is mind boggling. If Ko Simpson and Darnell Bing wouldve stayed for their senior years, they wouldve been 1st rounders. Those guys are gonna be steals in the 4th

How can a 7th round pick be a bust?

awful pick. Kiper is talking about this guy not even having starter upside. How can you take a guy like this with athletes like bing and simpson on the board?

This draft went downhill in a hurry. 2 huge reaches with our 3rd rouders with All americans with starter potential still on the board

No...because hes reaching for every and any player out of the first round. Hes not a talent scout, never has been, and is not doing a good job showing us he can be. More Pouhas for the team

If Mangini wasn't a D guy then I'd be pissed off also, but since he is I feel that he's getting the players that he wants for a reason. I do not know the reason but I will have to trust that he knows what he's doing.

I know Ko Simpson better than anybody here (Gamecock fan from SC) and I can tell you that he will make us look very stupid for passing on him for this guy. OMFG, what was that? I am ready to give our FO the benefit of a doubt because they're not stupid...but this pick was stupid.
