There isn't just one type of player I'd consider an "explosive playmaker". Leon and Percy, despite their different positions, are the same type of playmaker. I guess you know better than Percy himself how he ought to be used, though.
And if thats the case...Well then I would have no problems "Cutting ties" with Stucky if that means we would have a player like Harvin in the slot... Theres a reason why Harvin's projected as a top 20 pick....And if not for his previous injury problems...He would be a top 5-10 pick and the 1st WR drafted in this years draft. But thats not the case...Players such as Leon, Harvin, Stucky, Keller, Cotchery and Clowney could make for an offense that can put points on the board and any coach would love to have talented players @ just about every position
I am now seriously pulling for us to trade our #1 and more for Cutler just so I don't have to hear this retarded bullshit anymore. What wonderful options he'd give us! Put him in the backfield/slot to free him up and kill the potential playing time of two of our young, up and coming players! Split Harvin out wide and limit his potential! Sounds awesome!
Wrong. Leon could never do the things that Harvin does in the passing game, never. And if what your saying is "True", well then...It looks like the Jets would have two playmakers that can both make plays on Sundays by drafting Harvin. That would be a great thing right? lol, we would then have a playmaker out of the backfield in Leon and another playmaker as a wideout in Harvin because if Leon and Harvin are the same types of playmakers (Just different positions) Well then, I would LOVE to add another explosive player like Harvin.

Me...I actually would LOVE the idea of drafting Harvin as our #2 WR because we would be set @ WR...IN my eyes and thats all that matters (2 me) Cotchery Harvin Stucky (Clowney as our 4th WR) So no...We wouldnt be cutting stucky by drafting Harvin, we wouldnt "Lose a 1st rounder", and we would FILL the #2 hole
Ugh. Harvin himself has said that he expects to be used in the backfield and the slot. That right there eliminates the positional differences between him and Leon. Leon can do what Percy can do out of the backfield. Stuckey takes his position in the slot. Harvin does nothing to help a team with a hole at #1/2, and he prevents us from using our first rounder on a position of need. It's a matter of value, which varies from team to team. For our team, he's not nearly as valuable as you think.
Please go root for the Lions. I'm guessing you'd match up with their drafting strategies over the past 10 seasons.
