Speaking of expectations, something relating to the team but probably not meritorious of a new post. Jason Taylor remains unsigned. Interestingly enough, this issue is larger than just the Jets and Taylor. Of the 37 rookies remaining unsigned this year, 30 are all second rounders. Why is this important? well, the unwritten NFL rule is you only guarantee the full contract for first rounders, period. However, the dip shit GM in Cleveland did the opposite, setting a new standard by guaranteeing the full contract. So the rest of the agents want the same treatment now. for their rookies. Is the NFL versus agents at this point. Cleveland is notorious for stupid shit guaranteed contracts, look no further that with Watson. Now they manage to screw the rest of the other teams.
I knew the numbers were bad, but I didn't think they were this bad. The last 10 years with Johnson as the owner. OL .300 winning % (43-100) since 2015 100 losses! in 9 seasons Double-digit average (11.1) losses per season 4.78 average wins per season The slumlord Donald Sterling of the NFL A total embarrassment
They have to earn the contract for me, far too many of them get the bag on a second contract and mail it in from then on, as it is, can you imagine how many of them will just mail it from the start, knowing they have 10,20 or 30m+ in the bank already. No incentive left for them, bar pride, and as we have seen, plenty of them don't have that basic attribute.
