No, see, this is precisely where they would go to die. I'm just not sure which would come first, the crash or the burn.

The Jets would be the "change of environment" they may need? o_O Fresh start with the Jets, a cure for all ills! Unless you were kidding, there's always that.

We need a NEW OWNER! Sell the Team Woody! You suck at ownership and the fans HATE YOUR GUTS!
Look at the Patriots! No Brady, no Belichick, NO PROBLEM! They are building a team, drafted what looks to be a great QB, and may make the playoffs this year! Go destroy your new soccer team and SELL THE JETS! Sick to my stomach over this crap team!

If Glenn is fired, I am all for the Jets just turning the Head Coaching gig over to Artificial Intelligence, OC and DC roles, too. Give us a REAL culture change.

I posted this in another thread so I’m not gonna lay out examples again, the biggest red flag I see is not the 0-5 record. It’s not the turnovers and it’s not even the mental errors. It’s the team’s lack of hustle. They do not play to the whistle. They do not seek out the next level once their assignment is finished. They do not hustle to help out in tackling. They do not hustle to make a block on offense. They play to the assignment, meaning once the player does whatever the assignment of the play was they’re done. From that point on, whether they’ve done a good job on their own assignment or not, they stand around or lightly jog. It’s a total lack of effort. I find that incredibly disturbing.

I don’t really ever remember a team in this league having a chronic fucking fumbling problem either. It’s bizarre.

And coupled with an alarming inability to create take aways on D…I’ve not seen this ever.

I wonder what the record is for most games without a takeaway….we are at 5 and counting now.

    Unfuckingbelievable

The top coaches in some order are:

    Campbell
    O'Connell
    McVay
    Shanahan
    Tomlin
    LaFleur
    John Harbaugh
    Jim Harbaugh
    Payton
    Reid
    Vrabel

    8/11 have clear offensive roots.

It is possible for a defensive HC to work, but I don't understand why we keep going down a suboptimal path.

Yeah, this has been glaring. It reminds me a lot of the Saleh teams.

Is this a problem with Glenn or do we just have too many losers on the team? I honestly don't know, but increasingly I'm thinking it's the latter. The roster rot might just be too deep for the coach to matter. We just have too many guys who don't care. They don't take pride in their level of effort, they don't care about whether their teammates are trying hard, etc.

Record is 6 I believe. We'll either tie it or break it if we don't get a takeaway vs. Denver next game.

I get that it's fashionable to hate on McDermott, but leaving him out of this is wrong. That said, I'd prefer an offensive head coach too. But the most important thing is to hire someone good; offense for the sake of offense without any due diligence is how you get Gase.
