Let’s be realistic, the only reason Woody keeps hiring inexperienced Coaches and GM’s is because they’re cheap.

I think you have to take a QB in the first or second round this year.

We don’t need a tackle and the only other positions you really take in the top 3 is an edge rusher or corner. We have too much money locked up in Sauce to take a corner and the pass rush sucks.

We DO need an edge rusher AND a CB for sure

But yeah, the top pick HAS to be QB…no two ways about it…Fields ain’t the answer

It would be malpractice not to take a QB high in the draft. Sad thing is that it'll be a situation where that QB will be coming into a lame duck coaching staff that won't be here for his second season, most likely.

Impatience? Bro...I'm 55 years old and have never even seen my team in a Super Bowl. How much patience are we supposed to have? My youngest son was in Elementary School the last time we were in the playoffs and he's about to get married..I could deal with disappointment if we had some success and light at the end of the tunnel, but this shit is Kotite bad and where's the hope?

No doubt. And nothing like a former DC and 1st time OC to develop him. 2nd verse, same as the first….

The kicking and punting has been fine this year but the return games have been awful. That’s on the special teams coach. We watch teams averagely starting at the 30-35 on kickoffs and it feels like the Jets are starting at the 17 every drive.

No idea why we have a guy whose been coaching in the league for 3 years in total as our special teams coach.

Can we get a fast return guy who doesn't fumble and is not a total idiot? I mean why can't we just take a knee when we catch the ball in the endzone, doesn't the guy have awareness where he stands? That new guy (Avory) is slow as hell too. It's just so frustrating. Is Pritchett really THAT bad? He looked better than the scrubs we had and still have there in preseason. He did have one muffed punt, but was decent in College in that area. Instead we get dumb asses with cement in their feet, and they fumble the ball too.

But what about "not a total idiot" requirement?

I like Brady out of the bunch. At least talk to the fucking guy. Also, I noticed Detroit offense is still #1 even with Ben Johnson gone. Even averaging more points now. OC is John Morton. Wasn't very good with us in 2017, but that was Bryce Petty year. Robbie Anderson as WR1. Times have changed. Could be an interesting choice.

Also I don't think Glenn one and done is probable. If this keeps up it SHOULD be one and done, but with Woody calling the shots, he will likely get second year regardless.

I thought Morton was a good OC for us. I've repressed a lot of the last decade of Jets football but my memory was that he had the offence performing way above their talent level.
Again, I might be wrong, but I thought he basically got sacked because we had first and goal from the 1 in a game and passed four times*, leading to Bowles throwing a hissy fit and canning him.

*Our short yardage running was deplorable as per always, so I'm sure that I agreed with his play calling, but we needed a scapegoat and, because we had a defensive coach, that meant the OC was always in the firing line.

Glenn is not getting fired. He is getting 3-5 years and rightfully so. I think he needs to cut 75% of the roster and almost start over. Fields is fine as QB. The defense is a mess. Give him a chance to get it turned around. Nobody is coming in a fixing this mess fast.
