Through two weeks in the preseason G-Mac has the best stats of all the rookie QB's (aside from the Bears undrafted scrub): http://bleacherreport.com/articles/814204-nfl-preseason-week-two-rating-the-rookie-quarterbacks
What are you talking about? We all should be hoping that McElroy is better than Chad. Hell I hope he's the next Joe Montana.
I get it, but the other post implied that if he turned out to be the same caliber of player as Pennington, it'd be some type of disappointment. Maybe I'm reading too far into it. If he stays with the Jets, I hope he becomes the greatest player ever, but realistically speaking, I'd be fucking thrilled if the guy matched Chad's production from his good years.
OK, clearly I'm being misinterpreted all over the place. Better idea: forget I said anything. Carry on.
That's the knock on him but there are plenty of guys who had succesful careers but lacked arm strength. Bernie Kosar and Matt Hassleback are both guys that were labeled as having "weak arms" . If he had half the success of those guys he'd be a valuable asset to the Jets.
lets give the kid credit.playing behind a swiss cheese offensive line.showed his potential.with a rating of 90.tells me that with experience.he will be a winner.
