Cornerback Cromartie wants to play in defense ... just like Jets'

  2. I would gladly take Cromartie. He's young (25), and at 6'2" and 210, a big corner. He's also got 15 picks in his career.

I love how players want to play for Rex. Cromartie is talented but hes kind of a puss.

I'd trade Jones for Cro, he was a beast when SD had a legit pass rush and he'd see a lot of passes thrown his way with Revis Island on the other side of the field

Of course, the Chargers would be retarded to make this trade but who knows?

If they do the trade it wont be straight up. Maybe Jones and our 5th something like that.

I simply cannot get past how Cromartie pussed out on the tackle vs Greene. Throw in the fact it was the playoffs and it really makes a case for him not being a guy you want on your team.

I think Jones for Cro straight up should be good enough. I don't understand why so many people think Cro is worth so much more, doesn't make sense to me.

Thomas Jones has MAYBE 2 years left. Cromartie has 10 years left.

If we were trading Mangold for Kevin Mawae straight up wouldnt you be a little concerned ?

Close, but it seems no one really knows the true number. And the dude is already $25,000 behind in child support payments. Allegedly.

I understand the arguments about his tackling, but when people start talking about how many kids he has it seems like a stupid argument. As if his sex life/children somehow effects his ability as a corner? I'm sure the NFL is full of monogamous, condom wearing gentleman.

Well, with that amount of drama in his personal life, it almost undoubtedly affects his focus and prep during the season.

It's not unpossible for it be one of the reasons his play has slipped the last few years.

I'd put my money on Shawn Merrimans lack of production before I put it on Cromarties reproduction.

How unpossible would you say it is? The most unpossible thing in the world?

Irregardless of the unpossibility of it, it is definitely a factor when looking at him in a trade.

How much credence depends on the team and/or GM.

I'm very concerned with the level of unpossibility involved here.

Im startin to think this cud actually happen Jones is still playin at a high level 1400 yards this season, a career high.Greene was just the hot back so we had to go with him.The only reason why the Chagers released LT was because of his high cap number. Now as someone said i dont think it would be a straight up kind of deal we wud have to put something else on the table.

With the shinnanigans going on at rb in San Diego the release of LT and now not tendering Sproles... This trade is becoming even more and more possible and I personally think that this is a wiser move than getting Aso as we leave ourselves with more options for the future

This would really be a steal for us, weve seen wat Cromartie can do with a pass rush, he definetly is a special player and in a d like this can return to a pro bowl level. We dont necessarily need two shutdown corners, wat this defense really needs to start doing is forcing more turnovers and Cromartie does that
