Is FOURTHANDLONG fucking kidding me? Sanchez played HORRIBlE there is not question about that. He has played horrible in the past too, no argument there. However, he has also shown flashes of excellence. It's his consistency which is in question not his ability to win a game in spite of a bad performance from another part of the team. Also, Sanchez was a fucking escape artist last night. They couldn't tackle him. Has anyone mentioned that shit? Fuck these trolls.
This is why I hate coming here after one of our players have a bad game. He wasn't bad vs Cinci both NIGHT and COLD games last season, he wasn't bad in the rain, vs Minni this year, he is allowed to have a bad game, for the love of Revis christ! Its like fucking FinHeaven over here and its bullshit, calm the fuck down..
agreed... sanchez just had a really bad game; threw two bad picks right to patriots... but he had a few times he escaped sacks like houdini... or threw the ball away with a guy hanging on to his leg. he'll bounce back, and most of us know he's better than that.
Sanchez plays like shit against good defenses. What's that remind you of, O'Brien, Pennington? His picks were horrible, they all were, including last years. He makes some real dumb decisions. Granted, he's shined, but it takes other team's mistakes to make him look that way. The good thing about average quarterbacks is that, they occasionally win a superbowl here and there, occasionally.
I give 90% of the blame to the OC, and its hard not to. The play calling is absolutely ridiculous. It often seem like Defenses we play against know whats coming before our offense get the play called into the huddle. Now I don't blame the OC for the pics... you gotta see the field... but we have yet to play to his strengths, shit we've yet to play to our offenses "supposed" strength - that ground and pound I heard about, I've yet to see it in 12 games.
Sanchez, at this moment in time compared to Brady, IS a rookie. He has a bit of growing up to do - getting some consistency and playing at a consistently high level. He'll get there. Hell, see what happened at Denver, Detroit and Cleveland? Not to mention the home game v the Texans. Sanchez is improving all the time, no need for any bashing.
It was obvious by the look on Rex's face in the 2nd Half last night that he does not have a good grasp of this team. That's not to say that even if he did have a hold of this team they would be going places. The Jets are a .500 team at best this season. They've certainly played like they are comfortable with mediocrity.
And for a second year qb with only 1ye college experience, average is pretty damn good. By the way I still think he is playing above average if you take the whole season into account.
What you see now is what you get going forward. I posted about the Raven loss and said they should have let him throw. Three months later we have our answer.
